I hate Duke, but their man D and on ball pressure was excellent late in the game.. they earned it.. and finally someone read the scouting report on Kaminsky late in the game, force him to the middle. He went 1 for his last 3, although that up in under in the paint was pretty. Decker Laid an egg.... Tyrus Jones was big as he has been all season.

Now, Duke has 4 mcdonalds all american frosh in their 8 man rotation... are we gonna hear they same thing "they're not a real team"... or does their squeaky clean persona absolve them of that same criticism? All these kids worked hard, UK as well, the system may imbalance the landscape, but we saw 4 good teams, all different in the final four... Congrats to Dook....

Wisconsin coach blaming the refs. Pathetic

Lost some respect for Bo and his silly comments in his presser. I know he just stepped off the floor from getting his heart ripped out but he has been in the game long enough to know what to say and more importantly what not to say. Yes there were a couple of questionable calls but they did not determine the outcome of the game.

While they were doing the introductions for Duke - there were what 3 freshman starters, 1 soph and 1 senior?
If they return most of those players they will be a force next year.

Allen is probably coming back... outside shot Jones comes back... but he's probably earned himself a mid first round look...
Justice, & Oakafur are possible top 5 picks, they're definitely not coming back... got what they came for... a trophy.

You know what really bothers me, besides dook winning:confused::D, is the dialog "UK wasn't a real team". You had six guys who went to the title game last year, 5 could have easily come out come for the NBA draft, they decided to come back. Meanwhile 4 other McDonalds All Americans join the team, if anything the players had to sacrifice some of their game to play on this team. Guys like Dakari Johnson could have easily went to Georgetown and averaged 19 &9. Instead he's coming off the bench playing 7-10 minutes a game, not to mention he started last years title game! Derek Willis was a 4 star forward, and no one has even heard of him because he doesn't play!

Players who could have gone elsewhere sacrificed for a shot to win... yes the bright lights and nba eyes are an influence, but why wouldn't they be to a 18 year old kid? Its almost encouraged with the way sneaker companies and agents have access to these players from the time they are 14, not to mention how the conference landscape has changed, chasing the multi-million dollar tv deal...... Look at Johnson, the Harrison Twins... They probably cost themselves first round status to come to this team. I've seen tremendous improvement in the twins.... The team was not selfish, if anything they were selfless... They went 38-0 before losing to a good experienced Badgers team. A game they could have won if Cal didn't run "run out the clock, than iso" plays for the last four minutes of the game. (Feed the Bigs!).... Anyway... respect the sacrifice, respect the kids and their hard work. The NCAA & NBA corporate models are encouraging the imbalance you see today....

All of this "A real team won tonight, Wisconsin" dialog makes me wonder where it really comes from...

A long time ago, Sports Illustrated used a two page spread to show how giant Dr J's hands were. It was freakish. A lot like this photo.
It wasn't this photo, but you can kind of see what I'm saying.

Doc's Hands are indeed ridiculous. Ive shaken his hand before, as well as Dikembe Mutumbo's.... both of those guys hands were too my wrist.... and I'm not a tot... I'm about average at 6' .....
Allen Iverson is my height, yet his arms were double mine in length. These guys are made for the beauty of this spot...

well to be blunt I am not going to waste much time on you but you are so wrong its sad.

Duke is different then Kentucky and how that team was built but I guess you are not able to see that. Not to mention K is a lot different coach, I could go on but you are not worth the effort.

That team you hate so much (Wisconsin- probably because it beat your Kentucky team like it deserved) came very close to winning it all with a traditional team. Which is something you hate and I love.

Does anyone else find it odd that Krzyzewski comes out at halftime and announces to the world that he felt his team had too many fouls and Wisconsin didn't have enough?

And then lo and behold as the second half is winding down, we find Wisconsin having 12 or 13 fouls and his team 4 or 5.

They review the out-of-bounds play, .. and get it wrong. (They need to give them bigger screens to look at)

Then they show where the Duke player stepped on the end-line but was never called.

Allen pushes off every time he drives to the basket.

I had no dog in this fight, .. I liked both groups of players. But it seems there is always something questionable where officials do something uncharacteristic of what they normally do.

I agree Bo Ryan should not have said anything, .. but why does there always have to be something that, as you watch, .. you say, .. "that's not right."

Just my 2 cents.

I see Duke more as a complete team. They have guards, forwards and the big man.

Outside of Ulis, I see Kentucky more of a team consisting of big men. Kind of like the Pacers a couple of seasons ago.

I agree with the ability to space the floor. But UK is still a team... and a very good one...

Duke caught up with the Tarheels in National Title count.
And I think if they get to two more Final Fours and we don't, they catch us there too.

Both coaches work the refs it is part of the game and officiating will never be perfect, that is also part of the game.

There was no Dez catch play, Duke outplayed Wisconsin in the last part of the game defensively and offensively.

Heck, even our Cowboys admit that if they get the call the defense still had to stop the other team regardless.

Duke was assisted by all of the fouls called on their own players allowing the depth to make critical plays and to turn the game around.

They won the game by pulling together as a team in the critical time of the game, Wisconsin had no answer.
