Upsets happen in the NCAA tourney every year, sothe best teams don’t always make the Final Four (orany single elimination tourney)
But it wouldn't surprise if the ACC tourney Final Four is as good as the real thing.

Last week coming up before conference tourneys begin.

KU looks average this year. Duke looks average without Zion.

Kansas is very beatable on the road and very very good at home.
Will be interesting to see how they fare in the tourney.

If Zion is back Duke is the overall favorite no matter what happens before the tourney.

Just some trivia from the non-power conferences….

The American Athletic Conference (AAC) is not too bad .

I notice that even with UConn (has 4 won National titles in 15 years ), Wichita St (perennial Tourney team), Memphis (also a usual tourney team), and SMU (decent recently) all having subpar seasons and out of the touney...

the conference still might get 4 teams in to the tourney:
#11 Houston,
#20 Cincinnatti,
#25 UCF,
Temple (22-8)

That's 8 really solid programs, not including USF(19-11)

I think this conference may be better than the Pac 12 in basketball

I spoke to a Duke grad today in the office and he has no clue either.
I think they're looking big picture and will hold him out until the tourney

Last time I saw Duke at UNC was back in the Stackhouse era.

A few really good final regular season games this weekend.

#8 Texas Tech at Iowa State. (Tech could get a share of their 1st ever regular season Big 12 basketball title.)
#2 Virginia vs Louisville (UVa earns the conf tourney #1 seed with a win and tie-breaker over UNC)
#3 North Carolina vs #4 Duke . ( If UVa loses and UNC wins, then UNC wins the Reg Season Title.)
#7 Michigan at #9 Michigan State (both tied with Purdue for the Big Ten lead)

They have a Kansas assistant on tape discussing the financial requests of Zion with Merl Code. And it’s pretty well known here in North Carolina that Zion’s mom and stepdad moved into a really nice house/neighborhood in Durham.

all these elite programs do it, the smart ones use cut outs and not coaches to handle it.

Roy probably let him sit in on a practice this week. Coach K has done the same a time or two. Larry Brown did too.
I do give Garrett credit for always trying to learn.
