Never been this disengaged with the Cowboys during a season

After about 60 years of being a fan, I've come to feel that following them is a bad habit that I can't seem to break. I've started following other teams, as a relief from my doldrums after seeing the Cowboys lose. I can easily see why the players have lost their edge, when the FO doesn't mind neglecting them in the offseason. It's simply a morale curse for everyone concerned.

Honestly, Jerry Jones has made me become disinterested in my favorite team.

I don't even know who's not practicing this week.

Is Micah?

It doesn't even matter.

I already know the 49ers are going to destroy us because they have something called scheme and creativity on offense.

McCarthy's idea of a scheme is to have all the Receivers run 7 yard curl routes.

Jerry Jones is losing me as a fan.

When someone asks me now if the Cowboys are playing, I say, "Who cares"
Stop it or the Joneses will stop paying your salary

LIES

AL LIES

you cannot be disengaged or misinformed when you already what war a blindfold when you checked in here I mean literally this is on the net you're engaging with other cowboy fans who by the way on the front page have all that information who's practicing who's in who's out who's angry everybody you cannot be truly disengaged if you're still signing in and posting stuff about the Dallas Cowboys let me make sure you understand that Jerry Jones is living rent free in your head until you delete your account and you don't have a single bit of cowboy content on all your devices and you literally just truly disengage cut all aspects of the Dallas Cowboys out of your life that's disengagement..

You may have less interest then some you may have more interest than some but if you're taking your time out to come to places like this you have interest you still are engaged I hate to break it to you but everyone that comes on here with some of them over the years have said you know what that's it I'm over the Cowboys and I'm no longer following them somehow they let us know about it and they still have an account that is not truly disengaging...

But Jerry does appreciate having more of these sites with the Dallas Cowboys name attached to it and people discussing the Dallas Cowboys literally you don't have to buy gear or get a ticket to a game to be engaged or be helping Jerry Jones the more you talk about the Cowboys good bad or indifferent the more you're feeding the beast....

Same. I'm done. Its a broken record at this point. We knows what happens even if they make the playoffs. Whats the point of caring?

Same here. I could care less now if Dallas tanks it. When they let Dan Quinn leave and they didn't bring in Derrick Henry I knew this team wasn't serious. The one move that ruined it was signing Elliott. I blame Jerry and Prescott for that. They simply don't care about what fans want and aren't serious in winning. Hard to cheer for a team that don't care about us.

Here’s the thing, they are probably beating the Niners because that’s what they do. When you think you should give up on them they find a way to give you hope.
And if they did, they will go on to lose the following week. Then we will be back in the losing cycle.

"Ennui" sums up my attitude.

If Jerry has functionally bailed on this team, why should anyone else invest any energy in it?

Oh, I will always watch ..........what helps me cope is my expectation is always a winning season but if it turns south I go into planning for next season mode. I still watch games but put a focus on college games and draft earlier than usual and this year our next head coach. Been doing that way for over 20 years. A buddy in Atlanta does the same thing ........ we spend quite a bit of time communicating, and sharing information/opinions.
I kind of watch. It becomes more less background. If it get really bad I turn it off and then check the score every 10 minutes or so. It's a process.

I'm in the same exact boat. I’ve said it a few times on this forum (not that anyone’s keeping track), but this is hands down the most apathetic season I’ve had as a fan. Honestly, I just don’t care what they do anymore. Yeah, I’m still watching, but even if they pull off a win, it’s just a 'meh' moment for me. I’m tuning into other games, like the Lions', purely for the laughs at this point. Even other NFL teams don't respect this team. They're a joke.

It definitely feels like this fanbase, as a whole, is at it's lowest that I've ever seen. Even the homerist of homers around here I've seen post some negative things about the team and/or Jerry. We're all sick of it.

Yep. Exactly my feelings.

Watching other teams are so refreshing. Lions, Chiefs, Ravens are fun to watch. All 3 are well coached. They scheme their weapons to get involved. Their players buy in.
Washington and Houston are also fun to watch. All of these teams have QBs who command their offense.

Wish I could do that, but the serious nature of my habit won't allow it.
Like a crack freak who can't help it, I punish myself to the end.

..its been a weird cowboy season for sure. The lopsidedness is the banger.

If they beat the 49ers, it probably has more to do with missing Aiyuk, Deebo, and McCaffrey.

I think the biggest issue is there seems to be no sense of urgency anywhere in the Cowboys organization.

Ownership doesn't seem concerned which means the rest of the front office is not concerned.

The coaches don't seem concerned (what happened to angry Zimmer?). I don't know if that's because McCarthy assumed he was gone when he didn't get a contract extension last season or he simply realizes no one above him cares about winning as much as he assumingly does.

The players don't seem concerned, which is really disappointing as a fan. This is especially true with players who got their money.

Where are the players angrily stating, "We need to fix this now!"? Instead, we get, "It's all good. We will figure it out eventually" types of comments.

It just seems like the only people that care that the Cowboys are playing poorly are some of the Cowboys fans, and even the number of upset fans is declining as more fans are becoming apathetic to the losses.
Fish claims they are going for it next year and will have 100 million in cap space after they pull some levers on Dak and Lamb and extend Parsons.
