How clever.

I'd always subscribe to doing that when the games become meaningless.

Unless you can tell me how a 6th or 7th win could possibly help the team win a championship going forward like a top draft pick could.

It's a mentality. Either you want to win or you are ok with losing.

You are satisfied with losing, i am not.
You want a top draft pick, i'd rather win the SB.

You think top draft picks win SBs. I think players with the right mentality do.

Yeah. A 3-4 record is absolutely losing almost all of them. Do you math bro?

A 3-4 record puts the Giants at 8-8 on the year, the same record we would have in the scenario I talked about in my post where other fans were saying we could win the division at 8-8......Now, in order to be assured of a division title since we lost the direct tie break, the Giants need to have less than 8 wins, more like 7 or 6. You still with me, don't wont to lose you on the math here.

Ergo, they need to win no more than 1 or 2 of their remaining 7 games (again, if they win 3, they have 8 wins which would be the same as us which would not guarantee us a title because we don't know about the tiebreaks).....................Thus, in my book, if you win only 1 or 2 games out of 7, you almost lost them all.

I didn't lose you on the math here, did I?

It's rich that a guy who wants to negatively effect the team in the future, when they have a chance to win a Championship, for a few meaningless wins now that lead to nowhere is talking about winning.

You can have that new brand of winning. I'm only interested in our 6th Lombardi.

You know the word "Ergo" just doesn't get enough play here on CZ.

+1 for you.

Sorry, I didn't read the last page and a half.
ANY player drafted in the first two rounds are the top 64 ratings wise, In the world.

Worrying out getting pick 15 vs. pick two is an absurd way to approach the draft to begin with.
If your team is so bad...the player might pull a Manning move and ask to be elsewhere...or he won't play.

That part I just don't understand from some of you folks.

On Topic, I don't think your season is over, however it is on life support. I think that is basically what many are trying to say here.

How about a team going 12-4 then 4-12 has that ever happened? Because it might.

He has to play at Green Bay who hasn't lost at home in three years. Vs undefeated Carolina on a short week. At Buffalo. At Miami. Two games against the Commanders who always play us tough. Home against the Jets.

i don't see more than four wins there.

Not trying to be all sunshine and Romo is savior but other then patriots game we were within a TD odd winning games that Romo would have won. We have had the lead or tie every fourth quarter minutes the Patriots game.

Better QB play we are sitting at number 2 seed behind carolina. Hell better coaching we have maybe 2 losses at most

Also, Where was Brady drafted ? Where was Romo drafted ?
Draft is a bunch of potluck. Some players develop further, others have reached their potential at that point.
So many first round busts in my lifetime that it isn't even funny.
These are more recent ones...

So you’ve named the outliners.

Care to share with us all the other 6th round/undrafted QBs that are lighting up the league?

Better defensive/special teams play would also probably won us a game or two as well and given us a realistic chance going forward.

That's the thing. Everyone around here loves to quote the almighty Parcells "you are what your record says you are" line, but our circumstances are certainly unique.

It truly is a game of inches, and we are not a squad that gets blown out every week. It'd be hard for someone to convince me that Romo's presence wouldn't have been enough to lift us over the Saints, Giants, and Eagles. That alone would put us at 5-3.

I just HOPE we're not too far gone. And I hope the locker room still believes.

I think they know what Romo means to them. Watch they suddenly start getting sacks and turnovers once he comes back

I do think his impending return will help keep hope alive.

I just hope we're not too far gone.

But, it's not over till it's over.
