I thought it would be turrrible but that trailer has me hyped. Apart from the Wonder Woman bits, the two times she appears shows no indication of her part in the story.

I also share the fear DC is trying to do too much in this single film. Has anyone gotten a hint for how long the movie's run time will be? I won't be disappointed for something matching or even exceeding 150 minutes IF it crams enough relevant material into the plot.

It's not Superman, Batman, Aquaman or even Lex Luther I'm most interested in seeing. It's her. It's damn way past time that the third iconic superhero of the DC triumvirate is showcased on the big screen in a serious format.

I didn't even know that was her in white or getting into the car, they really don't show her doing anything in that trailer. Makes me nervous.

The Deadpool leaked trailer is out there, but it is not safe for this board.

Are they out of nowhere?
Yes
Does Wonder Woman really need to do an origin movie before she can show up in a batman/superman movie?
A full origin movie won't be necessary, but a little explanation regarding who she is and where she came from and how she got to where she is now would be needed. Problem is you need to multiply that by 4. Don't forget you also will have Aquaman and The Flash showing up too. Even Batman himself is a brand new iteration so we really don't know much about him either (yeah, we can assume the usual "parents murdered at a young age" thing we've seen 1,000 times but beyond that, this will be a new character).
If Spiderman showed up in the next avengers (which he supposedly will be), it won't be out of nowhere. I don't need to see him get bitten by a radioactive spider yet again to know he's a superhero.
Spider-Man is actually set to be in the next Captain America movie (which is looking like they may as well simply call "Avengers 3") and he will be the only major new superhero character in it so it is not like they are throwing in a bunch of new people from out of nowhere.
DC needs to ramp up quickly. I don't see the point in them having to wait to do a bunch of origin stories before they get things going, we all know who these guys are. Frankly, origin stories are the easiest ones, they can go back and hit all those origin stories whenever.
Making your primary concern "ramping up quickly" sounds like a recipe for poor moviemaking.

And Black Panther.

I don't consider him major, certainly not at this point.

He is major enough to have his own movie scheduled to come out in 2018. There are even rumors are that Captain Marvel may also show up and she hasn't even been cast yet.

They absolutely do not need to explain the origins of every hero that shows up right off that bat, and they won't.

When Catwoman showed up in Dark Knight Rises, they didn't go into all the backstory of how she became what she is. She was just a person that had a plausible reason to cross paths with Bruce Wayne and they ran with it from there. Joker doesn't even have a backstory, and that seemed to work alright.

They are far better off leaving you wanting to learn more about Flash, Aquaman (especially Aquaman) and Wonder Woman than going all flash back everytime one of them shows up on the screen. That's amateur hour.

Good points. It has also worked with Nick Fury, Hawkeye and Black Widow. They have played key roles in movies before we knew their backstory.

Amateur hour is being about 5 years behind the Marvel model, and still not getting it right.

Let's face it: If Marvel doesn't make Avengers, then we are not getting this movie. Marvel is acting, DC is reacting. If Batman v. Superman is a good movie, people will watch it and want more. If not, they won't. Unfortunately, it has been over 30 years since we've seen a good Superman movie. Hopefully this will reverse that trend.

My biggest worry is Ben Affleck's Batman. From the trailers it looks like Bruce has lost some of his edge which sort of take the teeth out of batman and looks like Superman gained some edge which is not a bad thing. I think in this day and age a pure hero, like Superman, just does not test out with society today.

I'll preface this by admitting that I'm going to watch this opening night.

That said, I'm in the camp with those who think this movie is just trying to do too much. But the thing that bothers me the most is Batman just doesn't seem like Batman.

Ben Affleck is seemingly being built up to be a GREAT lex luthor with Tony Stark technology.

Looks awesome!

And if we ant to bring Marvel into the discussion, I'll take more Batman over more Iron Man in movies.

Maybe it's just me... I am a fan of all this "stuff" lol

All I ask is.... Do it right... Or... Just really suspend my disbelief in a really cool way!!

I'll forgive that if it's good.

I like WW. She looks good as Diana but the WW sneak peaks look weak. Hope it goes better than this for her in movie.

The great Bruce Wayne gets pissed because someone else saved the planet but destroyed some buildings in the process.

Okay.
