Just saw it. It deserves an R rating and I love it. This is Deadpool after all.The Deadpool leaked trailer is out there, but it is not safe for this board.
YesAre they out of nowhere?
A full origin movie won't be necessary, but a little explanation regarding who she is and where she came from and how she got to where she is now would be needed. Problem is you need to multiply that by 4. Don't forget you also will have Aquaman and The Flash showing up too. Even Batman himself is a brand new iteration so we really don't know much about him either (yeah, we can assume the usual "parents murdered at a young age" thing we've seen 1,000 times but beyond that, this will be a new character).Does Wonder Woman really need to do an origin movie before she can show up in a batman/superman movie?
Spider-Man is actually set to be in the next Captain America movie (which is looking like they may as well simply call "Avengers 3") and he will be the only major new superhero character in it so it is not like they are throwing in a bunch of new people from out of nowhere. If Spiderman showed up in the next avengers (which he supposedly will be), it won't be out of nowhere. I don't need to see him get bitten by a radioactive spider yet again to know he's a superhero.
Making your primary concern "ramping up quickly" sounds like a recipe for poor moviemaking.DC needs to ramp up quickly. I don't see the point in them having to wait to do a bunch of origin stories before they get things going, we all know who these guys are. Frankly, origin stories are the easiest ones, they can go back and hit all those origin stories whenever.

I don't consider him major, certainly not at this point. And Black Panther.

They absolutely do not need to explain the origins of every hero that shows up right off that bat, and they won't.
When Catwoman showed up in Dark Knight Rises, they didn't go into all the backstory of how she became what she is. She was just a person that had a plausible reason to cross paths with Bruce Wayne and they ran with it from there. Joker doesn't even have a backstory, and that seemed to work alright.
They are far better off leaving you wanting to learn more about Flash, Aquaman (especially Aquaman) and Wonder Woman than going all flash back everytime one of them shows up on the screen. That's amateur hour.
Amateur hour is being about 5 years behind the Marvel model, and still not getting it right. They are far better off leaving you wanting to learn more about Flash, Aquaman (especially Aquaman) and Wonder Woman than going all flash back everytime one of them shows up on the screen. Let's face it: If Marvel doesn't make Avengers, then we are not getting this movie. Marvel is acting, DC is reacting. If Batman v. Superman is a good movie, people will watch it and want more. If not, they won't. Unfortunately, it has been over 30 years since we've seen a good Superman movie. Hopefully this will reverse that trend.
Looks awesome!
And if we ant to bring Marvel into the discussion, I'll take more Batman over more Iron Man in movies.
I also share the fear DC is trying to do too much in this single film. Has anyone gotten a hint for how long the movie's run time will be? I won't be disappointed for something matching or even exceeding 150 minutes IF it crams enough relevant material into the plot.
http://i356.***BLOCKED***/albums/oo4/DallasEast1701/General%20Gifs/wonder%20woman%20gif%204_zpswjxsd6li.gifIt's not Superman, Batman, Aquaman or even Lex Luther I'm most interested in seeing. It's her. It's damn way past time that the third iconic superhero of the DC triumvirate is showcased on the big screen in a serious format.
