He did whatever he thought was right, I’m not gonna judge the man. Not my place. Based on football alone urban Meyer would be a 100% upgrade from old school locker room guy Garrett. Meyer would know how to utilize Elliott to his full potential and he could bring in a flock of new coaches and players.

College Coach - I agree. Too many of them without NFL experience flop. (and so do many of the ones with the NFL experience!) Urban Meyer is the only one that stands out because he's bigger than the Jerry persona. But I think we're more likely to pick a Barry Switzer, Nick Saban or Steve Spurrier than a Jimmy Johnson.

Jerry's Boy - Dave Campo, Jason Garrett. Yep, you can skip the ones with "roots." Been almost 10 years of that combined.

Hidden NFL Assistant - Chan Gailey, Jason Garrett. A lot of people made fun of Al Davis when he hired Jon Gruden who was practically a kid. So anything is possible. But Jerry's track record on this is not great.

NFL Veteran - Wade Phillips. There's a few of them on the list below. But what I really want is a.....

Legend - Bill Parcells. Is anyone near the top of the list below below not dead, too old, or locked in a contract?

Bill Cowher anyone? That would knock my socks off about the same the news when Parcells was rumored to be coming out of retirement for BigD.
