He's a free man!!!

I love this guy too!! Why can't WE have a young coach who stomps the sidelines, spits nails, and stares down anyone who cross's him wrong.

You know, someone who came up AFTER facemasks were invented???

And loses to the 4-11 Raiders at home in week 17 to choke away the playoffs.

Look, we have a coach who is 60-something and has never won a playoff game. Just about any name coach is going to be pretty desirable to a lot of fans. And I think understandably so.

You speak the truth, RainMan.

You make a great point, except, Gruden's offense is incredibly complex, and is a form of the West Coast style.

The press in Tampa has called for his head for years now, since he won the Super Bowl. The press is worse in Tampa than in DFW. I can see Gruden sitting out 2009, because his style is kind of unique, and a team would have to be rebuilt to conform.

I don't see too many teams chasing him.

His personality makes him an easy sale and he could instantly bring a lot more attention to your franchise which equivilates to more money.

Rams believed to be ready to name Cowboys' Jason Garrett their new coach

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rams believed to be ready to name Cowboys' Jason Garrett their new coach Jason Garrett, offensive coordinator of the Dallas Cowboys, is expected to be named coach of the St. Louis Rams on Saturday. Garrett was headed to St. Louis on Friday, SN contributor Mike Florio reports on his ProFootballTalk.com website.

"If Garrett is the guy, and if reports that Garrett gave the Cowboys a 'me-or-T.O.' ultimatum are true, it means that the Cowboys have decided to bring back Owens -- at the expense of losing their offensive coordinator," Florio reports.

The Rams said Thursday they wanted to have their coach in place by Saturday. --Sporting News
