I know we had the 2nd most yards in the NFL, but I just can't help but think we need to rebuild this offensive line.

We thought we were pro bowl heavy, and that our line wasn't too old, but guess what... they are old and inconsistent.

Doug Free and MAYBE Kyle Kosier are the only true gems we have.

Fact is those no one on our offensive line is especially good at protecting the quarterback. And if it were bledsoe still out there, it would look as bad as it really is.

The only thing stopping Romo from being at the level Brady was in 2007 is a good offensive line who can pass block, and receivers that dont drop balls.

I keep Gurode and Doug Free, move Kosier to a back up role, and let Colombo, Davis, and Adams go.

Kosier is no part of the problem....i dont why i keep hearing people wanting him replaced

Highly penalized, and isn't especially great. With all the replacements i think we need on oline, and the lack of depth, i have to say we should fire Huock

Columbo was dominant until his injury...

I would have held him out the rest of the year, but that wasn't my choice...

I also think Bigg has a few more in him... O-Lineman generally have the longest tenure on the whole of any NFL players...

I would like to inject some youth in there, and we are older on OL, but not over the hill...

He was pretty bad in pass protection, and way too many penalties...

Dude. You'd let three starters go, replace a fourth in the starting rotation, and replace them with who, exactly?

Keep Davis and Gurode. Have Flozell at LT for one more year. Release Colombo and start Free at RT. Keep Kosier as the backup swing guard and center. Draft Mike Iupati for the starting LG spot.

dude if i was you id erase this post before more people read it......:mule:

Colombo, Davis, and Adams accounted for 12 sacks combined. And I guarantee you this number goes up if Colombo plays the entire year.

Do you realize Peyton Manning was only sacked 10 times all regular seasn?

Drew Brees only 20?

Romo took 34 sacks... thats WAY too many.

It's not as simple as that. Adams shuts down most of the top pass rushers in the league. And he gets no help. He should get help against the Dumervil's of the league. Some of that is on Garrett. Colombo gave up some sacks after coming back from injury. We also don't have the passing offense that Manning does. Our timing routes take longer to develop. Garrett needs to adapt to pressure better with more one and three step passes. The rest is on Romo. While he is great at escaping pressure and making plays, he sometimes appears to not be going with the quick reads.

Basically it's not just the OL that's the problem.

do fans really think the path to sucess is blowing the team up every off season?

when has that worked?

you don't blow up an oline that has played together for years, that's borderline ********.

Romo had a great year primarily because the picks and fumbles went way down.

34 sacks because he ate the ball a lot more vs forcing something stupid.

This is one of the dumbest post of all time.

Let's build our OL around Free and Kosier in a backup role.

1.) Sign Dexter Coakley
2.) trade him to Denver for Ryan Clady, Brandon Marshall, and a 1st
3.) Draft 2 O Linemen that we know will be HoFers because its that easy
4.) Buy Pants
5.) ?????????
6.) CHAMPIONSHIP

I would rather add some players in the draft and have them earn the job instead of cutting loose players like Colombo, Davis and Adams. Dallas has no cap to contend with and some other players like Holland, Proctor and McQ could be release instead of proven players.

My only issue with the Oline is that they have collapsed in all three final games over the last three years.

-Giants playoff loss- The oline gets dominated in the second half

-Season finale Eagles- Total disaster in every phase, but the line was brutalized

-Vikings playoff loss-Flo leaves game with injury and the rest of the line suddenly forgets how to block.

Not sure if it's coincidental, but it does say to me that the line does not perform well in adverse/pressure filled situations. I'd love to see Free replace Flo if possible, as I just can't imagine Adams playing at the level he has in the past. The Boys could sign Mankins, Sims or Amano if any of those come available to replace Kosier who just is not physical enough. You can draft a young tackle in the first/second to develop behind Columbo or Free.

So the guys who didn't make the Pro Bowl are the best guys?
