New taunting rule

Only thing I can say is..... They are going to keep on until they ruin this thing and no one is going to watch anymore. No revenue....no Football.

Watch those players salaries plummet. If there was something wrong with that, I got nothing.

I fully expect the NFL to create rules defining things like what constitutes a properly tied shoelace, further defining the science of what constitutes a catch, what percentage of a players foot is considered in bounds, all while raising ticket prices.

This league is led by a bunch embarrassingly wealthy old men who are losing a grip on what has made this game great. No Fun League indeed!

I saw nothing in that video I would consider taunting. I just hope it is not just another judgement call rule

Unfortunately, yes it is another judgment call and will be used subjectively and differently by different NFL crews.. another way to make you pull your hair out when it goes against your team. And i reckon it is not subject to replay, it will go as is.

Unfortunately as long as there is instant replay where we can show it time and time again second guessing will be part of it. There’s really no turning back now.

Everything we do now is under a full microscope of scrutiny assuming there’s video coverage. That’s all part of our instant social media in society now.

Maybe the NFL is getting fined for some of the curse words these mikes are picking up. The FCC fine for cursing is 350,000. Which is more than half of some of these guys salary. So a penalty makes sense.

We gotta make sure our aging fan base is ensured that any formof celebration adheres to any of the long standing unwritten rules we set aside for the nfl

"Hurting a guy's feelings...15 yard penalty, first down." I'm so glad I grew up in the 90's, before...this.

Its too big to fail now. What else is there to consume and entertain us?

Might be what he said because the ref threw that flag quickly before the physical reaction of the runner. The RB's back was to the ref when the flag came out.

it's also preseason and they do this with new rules to get the players' attention and then it backs off when the season begins unless it is flagrant.

Just hope they really don't start in on targeting, it will take 5 hours to watch a game.

Football is played by big bad dudes who want nothing more than to knock you out, get that second stringer in there. With this comes verbal abuse simply how it is. The sport is closer to boxing and MMA than baseball/basketball. Violent people in a physical sport, what is to be expected?

The league has to let stuff go, it really is the nature of the beast. Taunting, talking smack, bullying ah trying to is pro football part of the game.

I was a running back, after a tackle....

Me....you ain;t got @3rg guy......which got a F you. This was high school.

What if the player is using profanities and R-slurs which are totally unacceptable.
No one mentioned racial slurs, the answer there is obvious. We could also throw a flag if a player pulls out a knife or a gun, let’s make sure we cover all bases.

I completely agree with this new rule, but not if it's going to apply to plays like this. Hopefully, this is an overreaction for preseason purposes.

The taunting nonsense has to stop. It's crept into all levels of football.

But this play is nothing. They need to be more judicious about applying the penalty than this.

This is stupid. Just go ahead and make it a flag football league and then make every player shake hands after every play. Maybe a mandatory hug if someone falls down.

We wouldn’t tolerate it in a public workplace, why on a football field?
Because a football field is far different. You don’t think they were yelling and screaming and swearing and spitting in the 50’s and 60’s? Why does football have to have decorum like an office?
