New taunting rule

This is stupid. Just go ahead and make it a flag football league and then make every player shake hands after every play. Maybe a mandatory hug if someone falls down.

Or perhaps not act like poorly raised children?

It wasn't an issue in the 70s and 80s when football was far more physical and less officiated.

But this specific play was a bad call.

Because a football field is far different. You don’t think they were yelling and screaming and swearing and spitting in the 50’s and 60’s? Why does football have to have decorum like an office?

In the 50’s and 60’s it wasn’t on Prime Time TV .

No one mentioned racial slurs, the answer there is obvious. We could also throw a flag if a player pulls out a knife or a gun, let’s make sure we cover all bases.

What makes us think the call wasn’t about more than what we saw? Maybe what we didn’t hear.

It’s the greatest sports entertainment on TV. That and College football.

Baseball is dead, and the NBA gets the same ratings as PBS during the season.

Football is in major trouble because the academics and legal system is circling like vultures. The cancel culture has its bullseye straight on it.

Look at the world we live in right now. That didn't happen by accident. Decorum and decency are lost.

You didn't see Dorsett, Drew, Emmitt, Troy, Sanders, Thurman Thomas, Rice, etc, etc, etc, do this crap, and it was a far more popular and better game then than it is now.

Are you comparing working in an office to playing on a football field? Tackling someone for carrying a ball isn’t tolerated in the office either. Should the NFL ban that? Playing pro football is not like a normal job. These are grown men playing a game to entertain. Their jobs is not like your job. You should not compare whatever it is u do to what they do.

oh yeah and the group picture poses. lol I think there are some stupid rules in the league but regardless if I agree with them or not these officials will call it so it falls to the coaches to let players know and understand these rules. Losing a game because some stupid penalty is not worth it.

But you know there will be a game this year decided by the action of player and not the play on the field. I truly hate penalties that allow the refs to insert themselves into the game.
