I wouldn't have an issue with this cause he does provide some ability on that other side to help T.O. and it would allow us to move Crayton back to the #3 spot. He isn't a long term fix but I certainly wouldn't have any issue with fielding him out there with T.O. and Crayton and Witten.

got this off a falcons board

NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports that the Cowboys are keeping close tabs on Joe Horn's situation in Atlanta.
Schefter says Horn has become "plan 1A" for Dallas if Terry Glenn doesn't sign his injury waiver and the Cowboys could send Atlanta a late-round pick.

so who would be plan 1b? stasheroo's guy?

Joe Horn is a bum now. This would be a laughable move. I'd rather take my chances on a 28 year old free agent.

Actually after looking at his last 3 seasons I'm less for this move now. He hasn't had even a solid year in any of the last 3. I've actually got to wonder now, after looking at that, if he would be brought in here as the #3 instead. I'm not sure, at this point, that he could actually beat Crayton out at #2.

Got this off the Ranch Report:

Take it for what it's worth, just heard on NFLN (Adam Schefter) that the Cowboys have been in serious discussions as to whether they should sign veteran Joe Horn.

About ten years too late. If I recall correctly, the Cowboys were interested in Horn back in 1998. It would have been a great move then.

poor Matt Jones

when will the guy catch a break? 1st we sign his Jaguar, PS teammate, and now we're "interested" in Joe Horn

I can not believe this, he is done. Makes me scratch my head about this years draft class. Draft Fasano with a 2nd as a backup, then ship him out for a 4th. Could of had any wideout in this years draft, instead take a DB(who is talented) but the secondary is looking insane. Then take a tightend in the second again who will have little impact. Reminds me of the pass on Steven Jackson for JuJo and Spears well just Spears. All I can say is Ocho Cinqo.

Only way we'd do that is if we're about to cut ties with Glenn. If Glenn won't agree to the proposed deal, then I could see Dallas bringing in someone like Horn for cheap to compete as the proven vet.
