You said if Dez tore his ACL Dallas wouldn't and shouldn't pull the tag.

That means they would pay him 12.8m this year to be injured so they could own the right to pay him 15.3m next year.

You were afraid of losing him to OAK so I assumed you had to tag him again. If you were counting on signing him as a FA to a long term deal you don't need to pay him 12.8m this year.

If another team wants to sign him to a long term deal THIS season after tearing his ACL so be it. Some WRs never come back from injuries.

I said very clearly you could use it as a chance to negotiate a better deal with Dez like we did with Barry Church when he tore his Achilles. Somehow you took that to mean you pay him 30m for 1 year.

Wow, I can't believe this is being missed here. JPP can refuse to let the Giants examine him, no choice but to pull the franchise tag. at that point he's an unrestricted free agent who has a good chance of finding a much better contract than the Giants offered. No one finds it interesting that there have been no solid details on the injury?

No reason for them to pull the tag
The tag is cheaper for them if he misses games since this is a non football injury
I think it's kinda cold to pull their offer before even seeing him and I suspect that's going to be an issue but they would be really foolish to pull tag and just let him walk

What the **** does that mean? Gosh, I wish you would just speak regular sometimes damnit.

ok first off all I didn't go to a fancy college like you did. secondarily I try very hard to write from mein heart and sometime i do not rise to your Ivy leak standards of education. When you were at finishing school in new england I was wiping sweat of of exercise equipment in the basement of the homeless shelter in Waco. then while you were partying and doing the twist and cha-cha in the bahamas with Annette Funicello and Wink Dickerson I was going to night school and wiping sweat of of tables in the Grayhounds Bus terminal in Waco. good think i went to night schooll though now I can read in the dark, but that is another anecdote I will tell you later.
So don't be all Jeff Forworthy on me and talk to me like a 4th grader. I am learning and growing and as gott is mein witness I will triump and one day you too will be proud of me and take me to the country club where we can toss bon mots at one another and drink glasses off water with the little berries in them. I clean up real good too you can ax mein neighbor who is jelous of mein satorial regimen.
Sorry i transgressed your norms of english but I will try to do better. So quit trying to make me cry. (on purpose)

Actually, the Giants have a great choice. They can put him on the NFI list - for a non football injury. He can remain there while not being paid until he can clearly show that he's recovered.

at that point he's an unrestricted free agent who has a good chance of finding a much better contract than the Giants offered.

Really? You think teams will be lining up to pay a guy who may have blown most of his hands off and now refuses to let his current employer see what shape he's in?

No one finds it interesting that there have been no solid details on the injury?

I think ominous is the word I would use before 'interesting'. When he's denying Giants reps the right to see him, that tells me the injuries are worse than are being reported.

I would pull the tag if he doesn't fully cooperate.

14m is top dollar for one year of service. He is a FA after the season anyways.

I wouldn't take the chance he isn't 100% all season. He has underwhelmed before this injury.

That 14m could be used in trade or to sign a vet cut during camp and any remainder can be rolled over.

I'd use the NFI designation until Pierre-Paul shows he's able to play. The Giants then don't have to pay him. And then the Giants can make the determination of whether he's worth the remainder of what the tag costs or not.

It looks like the ball is in their court in my opinion.

If he blocked access I would pull the tag just out of spite.

JPP isn't that great to begin with.

Are you shure that is not Eric Roberts wearing a fancy hat?

It's an option. Honestly, if I had a gun to my head, I might not be able to say 100% that it was not Eric Roberts.

On a side note, I hope you know I was just pulling your leg. As I read your post, I could not help but get the image Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman and the Polo Match sceen. Sorry Brother.

While I would agree with you that he's not worth the tag amount, the Giants don't have too many other viable options at this point. Without him, I think their most accomplished pass rusher is former Cowboy George Selvie.

I do not get the movie reference and sceen. I half got to know what a sceen is. But i am sure it was a good one!:)
