The Avatar is representative of the grimace I have because we haven't won the SB. But you wouldn't Know anything about that.
I wondered about that....I thought it was constipation. :

LandryFan said:Phoenix, I'm retired Marine Corps and Navy and a veteran of the first Gulf War. While it seems that some of the flaming that goes on regarding our respective teams can be a little silly at times, the rivalry is what makes being a fan so enjoyable. If we all liked the same team....can you imagine the boredom?
I agree with you that veterans bring a different and unique perspective not only to sports, but to most topics. We just look at things differently than most others.
While I still STRONGLY dislike the Iggles and those who come here looking to battle it out, I don't take any of it personally (or too seriously). There are many more important things in life to spend energy on (except from September to January, during FA, and during the draft).

I do miss Montana and Great Falls, though. Some of the nicest people in the world live in Montana.
Princess said:Would that forum include wives/ widows of active service and veterans? I put in my 15 yrs as the wife of a Navy man... my late husband was a disabled Vietnam vet. Us widows get handed info that would be helpfull to other wives, widows, widowers, servicemen and retired hero's...
Hostile said:You could create a forum for this purpose that you run and we could post a link to it. I'll put this idea in my notes as something to consider as we continue with our upgrades.

Perhaps you've seen these classical war movies where the OD Green car pulls up to a House with military people dressed in their uniform? Well, my job was to contact the next of kin of servicemen and women who either died or was killed on active duty. Not an easy job; especially during Nam. There was a total of (1) one person on any Air Force Base that did my job. One of the things that was stressed to us was that the spouse of a Military person was to be assisted for the rest of their lives (meaning all privileges, and benefits that were the military person, wil always be available to their surviving spouse).
Even if you are a Cowboz fan

He got VOC Rehab (paid for his college the whole 10 yards plus a living allowance) and she receives a pension based on his service which she still receives. He passed away in May of 98. I don't know if you have checked benefits in a while but it may be worth while if you did. Just a thought.

In the Army and Marines, the officer dresses you up and sends you off to war.
In the Air Force the you dress the officer up and send him off to war.
You can guess from the above statement which branch of service I grew up in (Didn't serve, back then ** was closing bases left and right and was kicking everyone out so I accepted my calling into the civilian world)....
I wouldn't consider those holes they call bunks a bed but I can't argue against the rest of it.jksmith269 said:Navy=Smartest
