I knew it! It was just a matter of time before philo would decide to chime in on this. "He was in the CFL so that must mean he'll be great in the NFL"......

Keep an eye on this "obscure" signing. The guy was coming into his own in the CFL. Great size & hands. I can see him making the team. We're either old or inexperienced at WR. He chose us over the Colts.

You may just be right about this kid brother....

Brash, cocky with some talent. Let's hope he pans out to be a real diamond in the rough, just as Tony Romo proved to be. Sadly some around here are already dismissing him. Let's keep an open mind people.

Looks like "the kid" has his own website for those who are interested in such things.

Though his chances ARE slim with there only being 2, 3 at the most available roster spots at the WR position. Why do people insist on putting a ceiling on a players potential? Evidently he has potential to make the the team or he wouldn't have been signed. I don't care how he gets on the team you can't make fair assessment on what he can contribute until he gets the chance to.

i think those who closed their minds did so cause Richardson is backed by philo......and we all know his lunacy around here....

i have never seen the guy, so i am just gonna wait and see what happens. he may make the team or he may get cut before training camp......who knows.

Actually, I find most of Philo's posts very informative. He's a lifelong Cowboy fan going back to the beginnings of the team, great source of tidbits about potential players, and a keen eye for the game (someone who actaully played the game versus being yet another self proclaimed football pundit).
If Philo is high on this kid, then we'd be wise to sit up and take notice.

That sir, is not my line of thinking. Quality players are great to get wherever they may come from. I just happened to know about this fellow. Did you?

Thanks for having my back, brother. I see this guy making the team--not camp fodder or a practice squader. Obviously, Dallas has scouted him and wanted him.

One sentence of information, that's very informative. Look I like the move, it's a low risk with possible high gains move. The guy showed promise in CFL and is worth giving a shot but lets leave it at that because lets look at the facts he went to a junior college, and then played a few years of CFL ball, plus was injured last year. The odds say he'll be nothing more than practive squad at best, but if he does make the team then I'll be happy for him, and if he turns into even more than that, than we made one hell of signing but until then he's just like any undrafted free agent.

So what's your point? I don't believe Philo stated he is the next Marvin Harrison. Philo is only stating he like the move...as do I. Keep in mind that JJ and his boys signed Richardson with zippo input of one Philo. :lmao:

I hope the guy makes the team also but to do it he's going to have to beat out either Austin, Hurd or Rector. Then if he does he'll be at best the 5th or 6th wr and rarely be active.

Nope never said either one of you did. I believe I was simply saying odds say he'll be nothing more than camp fodder, practice squad at best. So there is no need to dismiss others opinions just because they aren't yours. I said lets treat him like all other undrafted free agents meaning, lets not expect him to make the team, that way when/if he does it'll be a good story and if he doesn't then that's ok, because there wasn't any big expectations put on him.

Yeager--I post under one name only, that's the honest to God truth. Isn't there some way you can prove this? I welcome any opportunity to prove this and shut some of these guys up.

I'm not talking to you two when I say dual logins. I deleted the RR references.

you have to remember in the CFL the wideouts have rules that allow them to move before the snap, not as much as the AFL but their is movement to help beat the jam on the line
