Santana has gotten the best of Newman his fair share of times too.

Owens used to absolutely own Newman, so did Randy Moss - but that was when he was young.

I believe it was Harrison when we knocked them off from being undefeated. That was a great win.

Yeah, someone got a screen shot of it from Hard Knocks. I hope they keep that locker when they move to the new stadium. History.... Fires me up every time. Especially knowing it came from Woody, the consummate professional.

Newman 2 (2006 and 2008)
Moss 1 (2008)

The Only two times Dallas has stopped that liitle troll is when Newman took him all over the field. Parcells called the dogs off late in the 2006 game, at Dallas, and took Newman off him. Moss had nothing but garbage yards. It took Newman being hurt for Moss to get a win in the matchup. Jacques Reeves isn't here to get owned anymore and neither is Aaron Glenn.

That liitle troll got owned, in his own house, this year by number 41.

Again, Newman has shut Owens down 2 times. Newman shut him down in 2004, at Philadelphia, and when Owens lined up in the slot and on Newman's side in the 2005 game, "the player" got shut down.

He missed getting his 3rd blanket when he decided to do situps in his driveway.

Saying Owens has "owned Newman' is just flat out wrong. In fact, it's the complete opposite.

That "arm-bar" penalty in the Giants game was pretty ticky tack.

That is a great shot. The PI call in the Seattle playoff game was terrible, too. CBs were all over WRs the next day and knocking them all over the place with contact, when the ball was in the air. Plus, the ball wasn't even catchable.

Also, I saw an angle on ESPN where DeSean Jackson stiff armed Newman on his first catch before the ball got there.. It chould have been called against the WR.

Anthony Henry was thrown at about 104 times in 2005. That led the NFL. Who was on the other side of him? Newman's (2004-2007) four year average YPA ranked second to only Shawn Springs. Newman has been consistently an outstanding cover cornerback. He plays the run well, too. He will jack you up. Ask Clinton Portis about that lick Newman laid on him in the second Commanders game, because Portis raised the white flag after that hit. He was done. I wish someone had a tape of that hit.

The number of TDs Terence Newman has given up in the last four years can be counted on one hand. In 2005, he didn't give up one. In fact, he didn't give up one until the Atlanta game in Dec. 2006. A short one where he dove and reached over with his right hand. If he plays it with his left hand, he makes the play.

NFL general managers have ranked Terence Newman as the number 1 player on Dallas' roster more than one time. Jerry Jones has spoken about this. It's on the record.

It amazes me that this thread even exits. Plus, it's still going.

It's funny. The other team flat out won't throw the ball at him from 2005-2007, and when they do throw it at him, he makes plays and continues to blanket the other team's best guy and gets 4 picks in 7 games last year. When you cover the other guy's number 1 guy, all over the field, the other team is going to try to get the ball to that guy some. Again, he should have picked 5 and would have approached double digit picks if he doesn't miss 6 games. It took an over aggressive Newman and a perfect throw, that only the WR could get, for Holmes to do anything against him. If the Cardinals cover Holmes like Newman did, they get a shiny ring.

Let's sign cut CBs and draft 8. That makes loads of sense. Let's block the young guys.

2008:

Moss: Shut down/Owned/Horse Trailer (Crucial INT and Pass defensed on 4th down) Did he make a play?
Bruce: Shut down after catching wounded duck.
Branch: Shut down after catching 2 passes early in the game. INT
Holmes: See above
Hixon: Shut down/Owned/Horse Trailer (Crucial INT; 2 INTs)
Clayton: Shut down
Jackson: Made 2 plays. If Newman turns around, he has his 5th pick in the endzone.

Plaxico Buress took a 1 for 5 yards in the Meadowlands last year, and Newman was a huge key to that shut down. Breer documented Newman shutting Burress down. "Oh, but he didn't get an INT", so he's not "all that". What Buress do in the playoff game? Oh, nothing. He destroyed Al Harris. I could go on and on and on. Elite TEs. You know why the 2005 Giants game went into over time?
Dallas pulled Newman off Shockey who had been shut down the entire game. Dallas Clark..0 catches. Clark destroyed Champ Bailey in the slot recently. He busted 100 yards by abusing Bailey inside.

That's funny. I'm glad I came back. I've got Newman's back. He wants to win and plays to win. He's a class act with his charity or scholarship for high school kids. Plus, the guy can flat out ball at CB. I wouldn't take one single CB over Terence Newman. I watch him on every single play, and I remember the battles and plays.

i know you don't know anything about football....stick to sports center and madden

Teams that are not intimidated by Newman go at him and succeed, it's the truth.

Newman is not used to being picked on, and when he is picked on, he's 50/50.

BTW, I never said Newman was a bad or even average corner, I said he was a tad overrated and if you can't handle that, then believe what you want.

He's a top 9 Corner in this league.

name the corners in front of him!

thats right you cant, cause your list is a joke, and you only look at ints, and you don't watch games...if you were to name a list, you would maybe turn on madden and look at ratings.....

Name them....go ahead, since your so confident hes number 9....i want to laugh at your list
