I don't know if the number is wrong or not, but that wasn't what the previous two posters were disagreeing with. It's the statement the Skins will still have 16 million dedicated to Griffin. As soon as he is released prior to March 9th, that money is freed up and

The reason we don't care that Griffin will be released is because:

1) We've had 5 months to get used to the inevitable
2) Cousins finally lived up to those moments in the past in which he hinted he could be a top-notch QB, so we (tentatively) already have his replacement...we're not starting over from scratch trying to figure out what to do at the QB position
3) Gruden's offense fits Cousins like a glove, and it's an effective, sustainable offensive scheme
4) Division titles have a way of smoothing over the rough spots of the past
5) Having what is probably the best GM in the division running our draft means we are focusing on a promising future and will leave languishing in the past to our rival fans, because quite frankly that's all they have
6) I will crack up if anyone tries to claim Jerruh is a better GM lol...
7) I will crack up even harder if anyone tries to claim I'm only basing it on the Commanders winning the division in his first year as GM lol...
8) Griffin conducted himself in an impressively professional, mature and supportive manner throughout the year, making appreciating his short time with the Skins and seeing it in a positive light easier for fans

11-13 as a starter, and coming off the season he just had...and with next to zero running game for offensive support, and down two O-Line starters most of the season...not sure what's hard to understand about possibly tagging him.
