Next 3 weeks, where the reality check happens

Both sides are going to have to find some magic.

for the philly game, the offense and defense both have to magically find 14 points (28 points total)...Its going to take that to beat them the way theyre playing right now. That is a massive order for this team.

Philly is pretty good, and their defense is good, but our receivers are all much better than anything they have and our RB corps is also far superior.

Green Bay's defense is very suspect against the run. This might be one where we just hit Green Bay with the run and make them be perfect on offense just to keep up. Rodgers isn't a spring chicken anymore either and isn't invincible. Teams are starting to smell a little bit of blood in the water when they play Green Bay.

Green Bay is so good they came pretty close to losing at Jacksonville, then lost to minnesota and then almost blew a 27 point lead to the lions at home....the lions lost to the bears today.

GB is a good team with a great QB they are however not a great team and will give up plays and points on defense.

Rusty D-law, hobbledout dez, tyron is out indefinitely, la'el is out indefinitely, rusty nzeocha, and a scandrick that wasnt doing well before injury.

Whew, im convinced.
Aren't you just the little ray of sunshine?

We just won. Enjoy it.

This is an 8-8 league and most games are won or lost on the last possession.
Let's just let our team develop and continue to grow and please enjoy the ride. You never know how many more you will get.

Maybe the Bengals should be scared. Dallas give up less than 20 pts per game.

Bengals have done it defensively against the sad sack offenses of the Dolphins and turnover machine Taneyhill, the mediocre Jets with 6 int Fitzpatrick and got lit up by a Denver offense that was mediocre through the first few weeks of the season.

Packers have played the Lions, Jaguars and Vikings. The first two suck and scored a lot on GB.

Eagles have played the Bears and the Browns, two really bad teams. They did destroy Pitt, but that was more of a perfect storm than anything else.

Dallas doesn't need to be afraid of any these teams. They should respect them to be sure, but we don't need to back down against anyone.

Dallas is giving up 20 ppg...to teams that barely average 20 ppg. So if they're giving up the average versus teams without a winning record...take a good extrapolation on teams with winning records.

Thats the "tip" that tells you it has a high probability of being brutal.

you have to look stats with context,Philly has played teams with terrible D.I think we have a fair shot at Cincy and the eagles. We have no shot against GB though.

Bengals have averaged less than 20 pts a game. Hardly a high powered offense thus far.

Cincy had a decent win against a very average Miami team at home. They are good but not world beater good. I think it is the most winnable game of the next three.
I still think the Eagles will start to fall off the cliff soon

I wish we would've lost.

Funny you say that because a bunch of these Romo folks are obviously upset that we've won without him. They need to go start a RomoZone and leave the rest of us alone. I just want to win. Winning solves everything. Well, unless you love Romo the player more than the Cowboys as a team.

Reality is going to set in over the next 3 weeks...it'll be sad for those who get all caught up in the W-L column and not the numbers behind the W-L ratio.

Washington - 29th allowing 30.7 PPG
Chicago - 24th allowing 27.7 PPG
49ers - 23rd allowing 27.7 PPG

Cincinnati - 12th allowing 20.5 PPG
Green Bay - 17th allowing 22.3 PPG
Philly - 1st allowing 9.0 PPG

To make it worse:

Philly - 2nd scoring 30.8 PPG
Green Bay - 2nd at home scoring 34.0 PPG at home

Cincinnati and Green Bay have VERY dangerous WR's, and Philly is just scoring as they please. Our defense is going to put the offense in a huge hole. Mistakes will come and the offense will get frustrated.

I am a HUGE tony fan, probably the biggest, but I dont like his first game back being against philly either. That is a NASTY team to try and knock rust off against.

it definitely doesnt get easier, but I like our chances against the Bengals if we can generate more of a pass rush with Lawrence back. Green Bay is the hardest game on our schedule and being in Lambo will be a tough one to pull out. Philly is way over achieving, very good dline but theyve also played some lesser competition with poor defenses.

well if they played Dallas and didn't get more than 20ppg that could also mean Dallas is doing their job no?

You can't even allow anyone to have a couple of hours to enjoy a hard fought win, considering all of the injuries/suspensions we've had? With all due respect, that's a miserable way to live life. Once again, I said "with all due respect".

Green Bay's defense is very suspect against the run.

What about the Packer's run defense this season has you thinking it's suspect?

They are currently on pace to allow the fewest rushing yards in NFL history (allowing 42 yard per game) and the fewest yards per rush in NFL history (1.8 yards per carry).

Obviously it'd a pitfully small 3 game sample size and I don't think anybody thinks the Packers will end up doing anywhere that good in run defense, however, so far they've been very stout against the run.

Having said that, I fully expect Elliot to go over 100 yards on the Packers.
