Reality is going to set in over the next 3 weeks...it'll be sad for those who get all caught up in the W-L column and not the numbers behind the W-L ratio.

Washington - 29th allowing 30.7 PPG
Chicago - 24th allowing 27.7 PPG
49ers - 23rd allowing 27.7 PPG

Cincinnati - 12th allowing 20.5 PPG
Green Bay - 17th allowing 22.3 PPG
Philly - 1st allowing 9.0 PPG

To make it worse:

Philly - 2nd scoring 30.8 PPG
Green Bay - 2nd at home scoring 34.0 PPG at home

Cincinnati and Green Bay have VERY dangerous WR's, and Philly is just scoring as they please. Our defense is going to put the offense in a huge hole. Mistakes will come and the offense will get frustrated.

I am a HUGE tony fan, probably the biggest, but I dont like his first game back being against philly either. That is a NASTY team to try and knock rust off against.

Ball control with some ground and pound will be our best hope. Dak doesn't panic and spreads the ball so we should be able to keep the defence fresh and rested by controlling the clock. They are also opening the playbook up for Dak as well, running the hurry up today and throwing on that last 3rd down shows the coaches are growing comfortable with his decision making. All is not lost but against these 2 teams if we split them then we are in a good position for the back half of the season.

Nelson and Cobb will destroy us with Rodgers having all day to throw. Just is what it is.

Cobb has been struggling all year and We have handled three excellent wr groups with no pass rush. The GB game is not the out of reach game people think because we will score on them.

Cincy is a challenge because they will run the ball and play good defense.

Against Cinci:
We get D-Law back for sure.
We possibly get Dez, Tyron, La'el, Nzeocha, Scandrick back.

That is a winnable game. Let's focus on that and then regroup. There are tons of injuries each week, so who knows what each team is going to look like weeks ahead.

Rusty D-law, hobbledout dez, tyron is out indefinitely, la'el is out indefinitely, rusty nzeocha, and a scandrick that wasnt doing well before injury.

Whew, im convinced.

The offense wasn't frustrated today despite down by 14 on the road. Last week people said this week would be the reality check - if the offense was down on the road. Now its pushed back to the next game.

The pressing that you see from a cowboys offense trying to do too much has been with tony romo at QB - not so sure that it will be that way with Dak.

Cincy had a decent win against a very average Miami team at home. They are good but not world beater good. I think it is the most winnable game of the next three.

The offense will definitely need to take it up a notch if they are to have a chance. I've been holding out hope that the defense would steadily improve but I'm not so sure now,,, DLaw will have to be a monster.

Not there yet. We'll see.
Agreed, on paper they all look scary but in reality we will be in the game for 4 quarters. We lose games against good teams on very little margins, i.e., the defense can't get a stop or an offensive player makes a crucial fumble or fails to get out of bounds with seconds left.

No one said this would be the reality check...they DID say this might be a trap game, and it sure looked like it for most of it.

Add in 1 pessimistic fan. So you're a defeatist who's already declare the game against Cinci unwinnable. Cool. You do you and I'll stick around here and put out the positive vibes.

Both sides are going to have to find some magic.

for the philly game, the offense and defense both have to magically find 14 points (28 points total)...Its going to take that to beat them the way theyre playing right now. That is a massive order for this team.

Pessimist? Nah. I'm just not going to get beer goggles on about 3 wins versus teams without winning records.

Green Bay has only played one Home game so saying they score 34 at home is pretty useless.

Dallas can move the ball on Green Bay. That is not a game that is some out of reach fantasy to win.

Green Bay's defense is very suspect against the run. This might be one where we just hit Green Bay with the run and make them be perfect on offense just to keep up. Rodgers isn't a spring chicken anymore either and isn't invincible. Teams are starting to smell a little bit of blood in the water when they play Green Bay.

Maybe the Bengals should be scared. Dallas give up less than 20 pts per game.

Bengals have done it defensively against the sad sack offenses of the Dolphins and turnover machine Taneyhill, the mediocre Jets with 6 int Fitzpatrick and got lit up by a Denver offense that was mediocre through the first few weeks of the season.

Packers have played the Lions, Jaguars and Vikings. The first two suck and scored a lot on GB.

Eagles have played the Bears and the Browns, two really bad teams. They did destroy Pitt, but that was more of a perfect storm than anything else.

Dallas doesn't need to be afraid of any these teams. They should respect them to be sure, but we don't need to back down against anyone.
