amazing what a competent offensive coordinator and qb can do to a blitz happy defense.

The Cardinals offense reminds me of the Triplets......

I wish there was some way to block local commercials on nationally televised programs. Damn redneck car salesmen. :banghead:

That's right....but the player the ball touched was. The result would've stayed the same...unless Rogah is right about the kickoff rule.

OK .... I am not gonna argue with a Cowboy fan anymore over the freaking Cards and Eagles :laugh2:

It already caused me to call a Cowboy fan an eagle.

I do not agree that the ball touched him when he was out of bounds.

You equally think it did.

Lets just enjoy the Eagles getting smacked around for this second half.

I am all for that.

Thank you for forgiving my stupidity.
If stupidity was a crime Zrinkill, I would be public enemey #1 :laugh2:

If only this beat down was being give by the Cowboys...........:(

Whats the point of that kick? "Hey, lets just give it to them at the 40. Ok."

As much as you drive me crazy, this is why I like you Z.

At the end of the day, we're all Cowboys fans.

Yes, that's all true. That's not what he's saying though. He's saying that it should be dead ball, penalty, ball placed on the 40, first and ten, receiving team. Sorry, but I still don't buy that interpretation (and neither did the officials on the field, and Fox just reported on Pereira's comment and didn't mention it then).
The ref on the field said (direct quote) "The ruling on the field is that the kick touched the receiving team player and then touched out of bounds. The ball is dead out of bounds at that spot, first down, Philadelphia." Clearly, the refs felt it hit the Eagle player's fingertips while he was still in bounds, then went out of bounds, hence Philly's ball on the 26.

If a kickoff hits a player out of bounds before hitting anyone inbounds, then the ball is out of bounds (and was never considered touched by anyone in play) which makes it considered that the kickoff was out of bounds. I've seen it happen before where a kickoff hits a receiver out of bounds (before hitting anyone else), I know I am right about the rules and I am not terribly worried about anything much beyond that.

But but... The receivers are dumb... The same ones that Romo will have next year minus TO for some. So we'll take these same dumb receivers minus TO and try to win a SB with thim.[sarcasm off/]

If that was the case then all you had to do is push the ball out of bounds nad you would be on the 40.....common sense isn't common...
And how do you propose a kickoff that goes down the middle of the field gets "pushed out of bounds" without anyone on the receiving team touching it?
