NFC East is for the Cowboys to lose.

Based on how the teams are playing, to me personally, it appears that Dallas is the class of the NFC East.

The Eagles look good against the 49ers, but the 49ers aren't very good. The Eagles somehow lost to an awful Giants team. And their other win was against the trash known as the Texans. That being said, they have a much better quarterback then the Skins or Giants, and if he keeps playing the way he is and if Westbrook can keep up his play, the Eagles look like they might be the toughest competition in the NFCE. They get to play Green Bay who they should beat unless GB keeps the magic up. That puts the Eagles coming into Dallas at week 5 as a 3-1 team. That game will be huge. If the Cowboys can win it, the Eagles will be at 3-2 and the Boys at (hopefully) 3-1. If the Boys lose then, the Eagles will be sitting alone at the top with a 4-1 record with the boys in 2nd with a 2-2 record. One good thing for Dallas is that Philly has an extremely difficult schedule that half-dozen weeks.

The Skins are god awful, but that is to be expected from such a trash organization (Lloyd and Archuleta and Duckett will save us!!!). Even after beating up on the Texans (who might lose to Southlake Carrol if Andre Johnson caught the flu), the Skins still are a bad, bad team. If the fumble return for a TD wasn't called back by a phantom penalty, it would have been a 1 possession game with 5 minutes left, so who knows what would have happened. The Skins woeful dink and dunk offense and their pourous defense will be exposed against any NFL-caliber team. They will get smacked next week by Jax, and then have the NFCE Toilet bowl with the Giants. If the Skins lose that, you will see the definition of a meltdown. The Skins are going to lose to Jax and NYG, get a win against trash Tennessee and then lose to Indy. That puts them at 2-5 into their bye week with their next game at home against us. I think we win again, which will put them at 2-6 and the wheels will be completely off that franchise at that point.

And the Giants? Well, they are lucky to not be 0-3 right now, and they look pretty bad. They are probably really looking forward to the bye week in Week 4 because they are guaranteed to not lose that week. That puts them up against the Commanders in week 5 as the 1-2 Giants play the 1-3 Skins at New York. I think the Giants win that game if Eli can keep from blowing it. That will put the Giants at 2-2 and looking at decent-looking Atlanta in week 6. I think they lose that, which means they will roll into Dallas 2-3. I think we beat them, which puts them down to 2-4.

If at the midpoint we can be even with Philly or better, I think the NFC East is our's to lose. The Skins and Giants are trash, and Philly has a hard second half. If we can play hard the next couple of weeks and beat Tennessee and Philly, we should be able to walk over Houston and the Giants. That would put us at 5-1 going into the Carolina game with a couple more cupcake teams on the other side of that in Washington and Arizona.

Stay healthy and execute. Our team could be in the driver's seat.

Cobra, ignore the peanut gallery......clueless is the operative adjective for them. It is early and taking care of business is the "first" order of business. From a schedule perspective, the Eagles have the easier schedule and are going to look good the first half (at a minimum). The Cowboys have the far more difficult first half. The Giants simply have an impossible schedule.

It is the relative lack of defense by all of our NFC East opponents that surprises me so far. Win and stay healthy...so simple...and yet so difficult.

It's still a bit too early to predict what's gonna happen.. wait another couple weeks. I agree we got potential but if you think about some other teams...

Before today, I thought the Ravens D was gonna be dominant and possibly be #1 by a mile with so many solid players and a few of the best players at their respected position, then they go out and let the freakin Browns score 2 touchdowns without their starting RB playing. Things like Braylon Edwards deep balls happen. Now they don't look so dominant all the sudden and look down to earth to me.

Another team that is sort of in our same situation is the chargers, they can be a dominant team, they got tons of weapons and a great defense, but you can't just say they're gonna steamroll their way to the playoffs after 2 weeks and a bye. Still need to wait.

The point of the thread is that WE don't see a great team in our way this year. The division is up for grabs and the Boys "could" take it based on what I've seen thus far.

Ok buddy, you can leave now.

Say what you like. I'd like to think you're right even tho they keep score every game.

I must say that pic under your name is very appropriate :shootme:

Personally, I continue to think the Eagles are the team to beat in the NFC East because they have the best QB by far and probably the best coach.

I think it will come down to the Cowboys/Giants for 2nd place and a wild card birth. The Giants were pounded today, but I keep remembering how they owned us last year.

This will be an all year battle in the EAst...no one, including the Cowboys, will run away with it.

It's obviously too early for any chest thumping by anyone...if the Skins have only beaten a little league team, then the Cowboys have only beaten the lowly Skins, correct? The one good team we played beat us down rather severely.

No one knows what they have other than the Eagles, imo...they have the same QB who's proven he can win the division and make it to the championship game with very little help from his offensive brothers, only now he has a legitimate WR in Stallworth.

If the Cowboys beat Tenn. handily, I'll be hopeful...when we beat the Eagles and/or the Giants, then I'll be ready to say we have a great shot at winning the division.

Yes, we can't say anything about our team until we beat a legitimate team, but redskins1 just happened to show up RIGHT before the Houston game, and after, to talk about how the Commanders are great. Funny how he was scarce during and right after the Cowboys game.

So they won a game they were supposed to win, and that dictates the response "enough said"?

If Dallas beats the Titans and takes out Philly the week after that, the Division is in our hands.

I posted just prior to the season that you could make a case for any team to win the NFC East. I still believe that to be true.

I think all four teams still have a chance to win the division. Philly is a little better, so far, than I though they would be. The Commanders are a little more suspect than I thought they would be. The Giants are a bit more sporadic than I thought they would be.

As for the Cowboys, they are not getting the defensive pressure that I thought they would. I'm not saying they are bad, but I expected to see more pressure produced by the front seven.
