NFC Seeding

The Packers have a chance to lose to the Browns, or more realistically to the Vikings.

Now, can the Cowboys take care of business and win out?

We ain’t winning against the Cardinals so all of this seeding talk is pointless.

I’m prone to agree with you, but you’ve been a fan for long time, just like me. We both know as soon as we start expecting something from the Cowboys, they shock us. Good AND bad.

For as unlikely as it seems, I wouldn’t put it past them to squeak by the Skins again (21-17?), and then magically, the offense finds its rhythm against the Cardinals and puts up 48 points against them.

Again, I don’t have faith in that. But we’ve seen crazier things in our time following this team.

Man if the Packers lost today, I believe the Cowboys would be in the driver's seat based on conference record? So close, but still a lot can move over the next 3 weeks.

One stupid Harbaugh 2pt conversion from being the #1 seed w/ 3 weeks to go....:banghead:

Still....I would have went for it also...but hated that play call.

Oh that’s weird, but since we play the cardinals in 2 weeks it’s highly unlikely that we’ll all be in a 3 way tie.
There is no head to head matchup with Green Bay, so I am curious who wins the tie breaker if it end with the Cowboys and Packers tied with identical records.

If we win out, we win all tiebreakers except the one with TB if we are the only 13-4 teams.
We win the conference record tiebreaker against anyone.
If we don't win out, well, a lot of teams have to lose a lot of games to get us into a tie with only GB, and then it would depend on what games GB lost (they still have AFC games to play, we don't).

I'd be shocked if we got the one seed. I don't know if there's a team on GB's schedule that can beat them. The Browns are the best shot, but both the Vikings and Detroit are basically speed bumps.

The Rams can win out, which gives us a shot at the two seed. But they close out with some tough opponents, including the finale against the Niners.

I think the three seed is the most likely spot for us right now.

That Vikings team that you’re calling a speed bump just beat the Packers last month.

We're already in the two seed. Do you think we'll lose to ARI and still keep the 3 seed? I don't know how likely that is.

And as someone else noted, the Vikings already beat the Packers. And the Lions just destroyed the Cardinals, so who knows?

And once they do it you will be repeating your famous catchphrase that you use all the time your wacky predictions don’t come true just like you said we would lose to WFT. “I’m glad I was wrong”

it would skip over that and go to divisional record/conference record which we have a tiebreaker over them in both categories

There is no division-record tiebreaker for teams in different divisions. But yeah, we have the conference record tiebreaker on them as long as we win out (and if we don't, the odds of a two-way tie with GB are really small).
