Last year was a throwaway as he was third string.

Now he gets to compete for #2 and be active for games.

Call it a 2 year rental then; I don’t care. I’m not splitting hairs about it. He’s essentially going to have 1 year where he might see some snaps.

I'm starting to lean towards Brenden Rice WR USC......think he could compete for playing time here.

I would like to see Tyrone Tracy Jr.

He is kinda risky being an inexperienced RB. But he is the one guy left that has the physical skill set to be a starting RB.


Plus he is definitely going to be good at catching balls out of the backfield.

Big Mike also has a history converting WR’s to RB.

Every aspect of the Trey Lance deal was bad.

Didn't discuss with alleged QB developer and Head Coach.

Overpaid.

He only had 2 years (at a higher salary) left in his deal and was not likely to play at all in the first year.

The idea that he gave them some leverage back with Dak was pure silliness. They hit free agency at the same time and again, Trey is not likely to see the field.

Bad, bad deal.

Lance has to supplant Cooper Rush as the Cowboys backup QB.
Then...he should get a few opportunities to play in the regular season = games with mop-up time (Dallas winning or losing or losing big).
