With only four RBs selected over the first three rounds (none in the 1st, one in the 2nd, three in the 3rd), most teams didn’t have need or preference pick them - choosing players at other positions instead.

Jay Wright, Ray Davis, Braelon Allen, Isaac Guerendo, Bucky Irving, Audric Estime -- all notable candidates pre-draft; but all were projected to go in the 4th round (ESPN).

We're just holding out hope one of them will slip to us

Jaylen Wright would be the best back on the roster

Cowboys' scout Mitch LaPoint just said they are looking for a running back with juice today.

The player who might best fit that description IMO is Wright. Guerendo is faster but Wright seems to be better on the outside. I don't think we'll get Wright, though, because he'll be gone by our next pick.
