NFL acknowledges two missed calls to NYG

I'd argue that the PI was a ticky tack call with the way they were calling the game. They let Dez be tackled before the ball got there in the end zone without a call. If that's not DPI nothing is.

Thats funny because I just put the replay on and saw that play, Collinsworth says its a "pretty subtle play" by Amukamara (acknowledging its PI) and said it was "a little harm on the hip".

So if PI is called on the Giants he goes nuts. If it is called, he admires the CBs ability to interfere without drawing a flag.

That is exactly how I saw it. Fells was blocking like there was no way Eli would throw the ball. He was just as shocked as the rest of us when he actually threw it.

I thought the PI on TWill was a terrible call. I didn't see any "turning of the shoulder", barely any contact.

Then why didn't TWill jump for the ball? Because DRC had his hand on his right shoulder.

Collinsworth is one of those guys who lets his bias show a lot.

But he hadn't become a runner! What ever the hell that means. I'm guessing it means that the NFL can call plays like that how the hell ever they want to.
Didn't they spot the ball where he was tackled?

If a Defender puts his hand on the receivers shoulder, then he is asking to get penalized. The palm of his hand was on his shoulder like he was plaming a basketball. It might be technically legal, but it makes it very difficult for the refs.

I could be wrong or remembering the wrong play but I'm pretty sure the OBJ challenge was ruled incomplete because Wilcox blew him the hell up after about 2-3 steps and they said he had never secured the ball.

Since Ware, as a Cowboy, was constantly held, was Gordon held on Sunday?

The PI on Dez, I still think ODB had control and ran before Wilcox blew him up, the PI on Cromartie was the correct call from the replay from the ref that threw the flags view, their OL held all game, and they were doing the exact same thing with the picks that ATL got called a half dozen times for doing against Philly...hell between holding and offensive PI not called I bet at least half of their yards are tainted.

I suspect that the NFL doesn't comment on call not made, unless specifically asked to do so. It's probably only calls that are made or reviewed etc. Just my guess.

Except for this line "Daniel Fells was held on last pass." An acknowledgement on something not called.

Actually, technically, once the ball is in the air, that would be illegal contact at the very least. Not correcting you, just saying.... technically...

The non-call and complete lack of the NFL addressing the hit on Romo, as well as OBJ clearly being concussed are an absolute mockery of all this safety standard B.S. they've been trying to push. How anyone could have any faith in the league office or officials union, is beyond me. They're all as corrupt and self-serving as it gets.

At least we didn't have to hear any more of that "essentially a home game for the Giants", "they signed their names on the locker room walls" ******** this time.

referees had the call correct on the field...........it was the NFL front office that called by NYC with "advice" on the replay call........

Unless I'm mistaken, the referees at the game have the call. Yes Blandino advised them, but they were the ones who overturned it. Even if they felt it probably should be overturned, it definitely wasn't clear and convincing, which by rule is required to overturn the call. I was also referring to the Cobb catch at the end of the half that cost the Cowboys 3 points.
