oh well, they missed calls that favored the Giants, ignored any that would favor us.
Mara making his power known so they will get calls from now on, and we won't.

I'll take the win.

Thats funny because I just put the replay on and saw that play, Collinsworth says its a "pretty subtle play" by Amukamara (acknowledging its PI) and said it was "a little harm on the hip".

So if PI is called on the Giants he goes nuts. If it is called, he admires the CBs ability to interfere without drawing a flag.

Yeah I noticed that too. Why is it that when Prince held down Bryant that its regarded as a "savvy veteran play". While that call on the PI on Williams was a game turning wrong call that absolutely favored the Cowboys and that it was completely unfair to the Giants?

I also thought Collinsworth even went out of his way to point out Church was holding his man on that 3rd down play. Upon review, Church did not hold his man. His man Fells was run blocking because he thought it was a run play. Thus Church engaged him as though it was a run play.

This obsession with calls favoring Dallas is beyond ridiculous. Collinsworth needs to zip his mouth and stop showing favoritism towards the Giants. In fact, all these commentators need to stop showing their bias.

I thought that one was terrible too. But I felt we got screwed when either Dez mysteriously forgot how to jump or the DB was holding him down on the first drive. Both penalties would put us at the goal line, so it's a wash.

The DB on the Dez play in the end zone at the end of our first drive had his right arm completely wrapped around Dez's waist. It kept him from going up for the ball, which is what a big, physical receiver is supposed to do on a fade. That was a terribly blown no call against the Giants but their fans want to ignore it.

It was simply a poorly officiated game all around and it surely was not a one-sided affair in our favor. There were enough bad calls on both sides to go around and make it a poorly-called game for all.

Well they were in mid season form calling the game.

Yes, but the Cowboys should be prepared to get screwed over this week ala Green Bay.

I hope not.

But if we get screwed and lose... 1-1 is better than 0-2
We were screwing ourselves last week.

Well they were in mid season form calling the game.

Seems like maybe the officials for that one were simply a wild bunch of attention grabbers. Flags were flying like it was some kind of a national holiday -- the laundry bill alone must have been tremendous! -- lol.

But even if the penalty should have been called, it came during one of those situations in which the officials are more likely to stuff their flags deeper into their pockets. With a flag for holding essentially deciding the game, the flag wasn’t going to be thrown unless the penalty was blatant.

I'd argue that the PI was a ticky tack call with the way they were calling the game. They let Dez be tackled before the ball got there in the end zone without a call. If that's not DPI nothing is.

I believe that if an official sees it he should call it. Just because they missed the one on Dez, doesn't mean they should ignore the one on Williams, if they believe DRC did enough by grabbing his shoulder to interfere with his route or ability to make a play on the ball.

This is ridiculous that reporters even put this crap out there.. Dez couldn't jump b/c he was blanketed by the Prince kid, Romo was blocked in the back & the Giants should've had the ball at the 15.. Moore clearly hits Romo well after he releases the football on the first play of the game winning drive..

I'm hopeful that Dallas sent the Moore hit in and complained that this happens far too often with our QB. They need to complain until officials start actually watching for it like they do with players like Brady. There's just no excuse with the way the league tries to protect QBs for missing that call.

I don't understand the NFL's agenda on this. I would guess that if one were to watch every game last week, there were alot of non calls that were just as egregious and some that were worse. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places, but I did'nt see any other "official" statements from the NFL on other missed calls. Why are they picking this game and coming out with these admissions?

Was listening to the NFL on Sirius this morning and they were talking about the game. All they talked about was the Giants fails on their last possession and of course the missed call in the endzone.

I usually don't get into the whole tinfoil hat wearing claims that the NFL is out to get the Cowboys, but it just seems odd to me that #1, the NFL publically admitted these mistakes, and #2, that they only did it for one game.

They didn't do it publicly, and they do it for every single game. The only difference is that the Giants leaked the information to someone. Teams send in plays in question, they got confirmation or refusal from the league regarding whether or not they should have had a call. That's usually it. The Giants are on the hot seat, the press is posting pictures of Eli with a dunce cap, their coach looks confused on the sideline and they are desperate to deflect the criticism. This is how they chose to do it. But it's not the NFL, and it's not only one team or one game. It's part of the process every week.
