Thanks Hos,,, its Combine time and things were crazy this year leading up to this off-season. Seems odd, but I actually have more on my plate to deal with during this time of year...lol
I bet you do man. There is a ton of info to sift through and countless false leads to sniff out just to find one nugget worthwhile. I tip my hat to you. Best of luck.

I have been saying time and again to stay away from Ryan Harris. The guy only did 22 reps on the bar; his QUARTERBACK did 24.

Brady Quinn: 24 bench press reps.

His agent told him not to do it and he said "screw you" to his agent and did it anyway. It looks like the kid has some moxie. 24 reps is pretty tall for a QB.

Today (Sunday) we get to see the pretty boys... (RBs and WRs). The 40 times are going to be fun to watch.

Yeah but look at him.. He looks like he can rep 225 plenty of times

I think Jay Cutler did like 20 reps last year. I believe that Carpenter and Aj Hawk did 24 as well last year.

The Wideouts in this draft class are blazing fast....

Robert Meacham just ran 4.36.

There's some good WR quality in the latter half of round one.

4.54 for Sidney Rice.

Wow...

You say you will run a 4.1 and you run a 4.41. What a scrub. Poor Johhnnie! You have to proclaim your greatness and then wipe the egg of your face. Last year, Devin Hester said he would run a 4.2 something and ended up running a 4.45.

But I guess he worked out for Chicago. I think Skylar ran a low 4.5 last year.

Thats sucks for Sidney.. I thought he was faster than that. He might fall to beginning of 2nd round..

Hill ran a 4.32??!?

He was listed as a 4.55 type, 4.5 on websites where they felt like being generous... that boy made himself some serious money today...

Hopefully, he learned a lesson about running your mouth... still, a 4.41 is pretty freakin' fast...

Maybe he had one too many Long Island Iced Teas the night before... :laugh2:

We knew he wasn't going to run a 4.1. The fastest in recent memory was Donte Stallworth who had a 4.18 a few years back. Deion ran a 4.15 legend says.

And don't get me started on Randall Williams.

Im pretty in tune with College football players but WHO is Jason Hill?

A WR from Washington State... generally regarded as a possession receiver, but nobody had him running as fast as he apparently did at the combine...

Here's what they had to say about him at NFLDraftCountdown.com:

Jason Hill
Height: 6-1 | Weight: 210 | 40-Time: 4.55

Strengths:

Has good size with a strong, solid build...Runs good routes and just knows how to get open...Physical and knows how to use his body...Was extremely productive and a big play threat...Hands are big and reliable...Good body control and adjusts well to poorly thrown balls...Natural athlete with good quickness who plays faster than he times...Agile and elusive in the open field...Has a nose for the endzone.

Weaknesses:

Timed speed is only average at best (not any more, it isn't) and he will have a considerably tougher time separating from pro corners...His concentration and focus have been an issue at times...Has trouble beating the jam at the line...Is only an average blocker...Fell of as a senior and did not have the great final campaign that most were expecting.

Notes:

Almost went pro after his junior season...One of the most prolific wideouts in the college game the past few years...An overachiever whose lack of ideal physical tools will become more apparent at the next level...Is not the elite pro prospect his statistics might lead you to believe but he can still be a solid #2 or #3 option.

Career Statistics

Year GP Rec Yds YPC TD
2003 12 0 0 0.0 0
2004 11 45 1,007 22.4 12
2005 10 62 1,097 17.7 13
2006 10 41 600 14.6 7
Totals 43 148 2,704 18.3 32

Hope that's helpful to you... his draft stock had been slipping, to the point where he was considered a 3rd round prospect, but today's workout will probably move him back up to a solid 2nd rounder...

From the Stats , it looks like he should have ran that 4.3 at last years combine. 2004 and 2005 were solid but he dropped off this year. I dont follow the Pac-10 that much so I have no clue. He probably went from a 4-6 rounder to a 2nd or 3rd.

I don't know why his numbers fell off either... if there are any Pac-10 fans out there who can give us some perspective on this, it would be appreciated...

The next big question will be to see how the RB's fare. I think Peterson and Lynch both would be expected to post sub 4.4's.

I have "little working knowledge of football" but he had ankle and shoulder problems all year. He missed 2 games and was never 100%.

When he came back he wasn't the focal point any more.

He strongly considered coming out last year.

Good interview on NFLN week or two ago with him.

Actually may have been during Senior Bowl.

Seriously, thanks for filling in the blanks... I'd say his ankle is all better now, wouldn't you??

Yeah, I knew that... the way things worked out, he probably would have been better off financially if he had...

Not a fan of WR early.

I'm a Greg Jennings type WR fan.

Small school burner with huge production (80+catch season to their credit).

Aundrae Allison/Laurent Robinson.

WR's can be found anywhere.

More than any other position.
