Lets face it guys

There will be NO FREE AGENCEY WITHOUT A NEW CBA

It is clear both sides KNOW they must get this done. No FA in 2006 without a new CBA

ESPN....just announced the same.

With the players union agreeing to this....maybe a deal is close to being done.

They are no close now than they were last week. I'll be willing to bet they will delay it on Thursday morning as well.

I might be wrong but they said nothing about the cap compliance deadline being moved.

The CBA extension sounded dead as a doornail right now.

...been sayin' it from the start...

This is gonna be like the 7 ft snow blizzard that's reported over and over...and then ya wake up the next moring and it's drizzling...

They'll delay until the get a settlement.

All said though, this is TRULY embarrassing for the league...

"OK, I'm warning ya...I'm gonna count to three...1.........2........2 1/4....2 3/8....2 11/16...."

I stayed awake for this?

Good night all.
My thoughts exactly.

Mort just said on ESPN NEWS that there will be no more talks between the NFL and the NFLPA. Owners are going to vote on Tuesday on the current NFLPA proposal. Sounds like nothing is happening until then at the earliest.

'Night everyone.

The NFL needs to just come out and say free agency is postponed until an agreement is reached.

These "deadlines" are getting ridiculous.

First, it was last week. Then today at 6. Then tonight at 10:30. And now....

is the 11:30 cut deadline still real?

If nothing else we can watch Skins wiggle....I'm staying up!

What you have here is a self-serving manuever by Tagliabue and the majority of owners to make life easier for themselves and particularly those teams that are and have been having cap issues.

This shouldn't have been a secret for anyone. Practically every NFL team should have been prepared in case there was no agreement.

I believe these continual delays show that most of them were not prepared.
