Its a risk IMO. The physical ability is there, but he is raw in some key places, and even his run defense was somewhat inconsistent. But he does have Tomlinson like ability if he takes to coaching. I prefer Benton, but Im rooting for Smith now

That’s the problem. He won’t be on field enough to justify passing on Porter, Mayer or even torrence

If the cowboys improve to top 3 or 4 in run defense would you change your mind. That would be a huge step for the cowboys defense
