I must have missed the part in King's article where Stephen talked Jerry out of upping the offer for Lynch.

This is a garbage read. Absolute trash. Let's see a few quality drafts before we anoint the fake VP of Personnel as a football guy. This team has been abysmal in the 3rd-7th rounds for the better part of two decades.

I have it on good word that Stephen is Risen Star's 2nd favorite Jones behind Charlotte.

And yes he wants to be behind Charlotte. :D

She looks like Howard Stern in drag. Like she was the one who gave birth to that cro-magnon kid in the back of the war room.

I hope Anthony Brown gets moved to safety for that smart aleck remark.

Stephen had a front-row seat to learn exactly how NOT to run a team for two decades. He's the anti-Jerry in that regard.

Let's hope that he doesn't quite share his daddy's penchant for philandering and boozing at light speed. I'm sure he's tired of babysitting his father. He doesn't seem to have Jerry's diarrhea of the mouth disease.

Not a fan of either, but I truly believe this as well. No Manziel, not giving up a 2/3 for Lynch, not big spenders in FA. All signs IMO point to Stephen being fully in charge as GM.

It looks like Stephen may be too conservative at times. I have a feeling that he is going to try and go cheap in addressing the team's problems.

He's been a stud the last 3 seasons. 10 sacks in 2013, 5.5 sacks in 2014 (in 6 games I believe, injured) and 12 sacks in 2015. Not feast or famine at all. He is a team leader and well respected around the league. Not just dominant rushing passer but against the run. Plus a true RKG.

Would pull the trigger. He can help now, versus next season when we are still looking and expecting a rook, or a young guy with upside, to make it happen. Need some PROVEN experience and leadership on the DL. At 26, Wilkerson is on the rise. Could be best DL not named JJ Watt.

Started 13 games in 2014, not 6.

We had a chance to get those playmakers on defense this year, but we took a rb, and a linebacker who probably won't see the field this year.

What defensive player would you have drafted that will have more impact than Zeke? The defense's problem is the lack of a pass rush. There was not an elite pass rusher in this draft. Bosa is not elite, but he was off the board anyway .

Stephen Jones is really turning it around for us. I haven't been this excited like I have the past 3 years since maybe Demarcus Ware was in his prime.

What surprises me with this draft class is how well spoken they all are. I've watched interviews of Zeke, Jaylon, and Dak and they go along the lines of being well spoken like Frederick, Romo, Witten, and all the RKG we have on this team. Go back to Tank Lawrence, Marion Barber, and Dez. Lol. Of course those guys are quite the players they are or were but the guys we just drafted whom i mentioned are very insightful and when I hear them speak they can really express their want to get better.

Now, there is a big difference from how Rod Smith and Jaylon Smith speak if you want to go check it out. The one guy that comes off as too cool is probably Geathers. It's cool though... only if he pans out.

The next step to a Lombardi is bringing in a stud DL with proven productivity. A young vet like Muhammad Wilkerson. Wilkerson immediately improves the pass rush and the young D players around him, no "ifs" and "wishes" required. The future is now.

Would be a great move

Yet, they keep saying they nearly came to blows over Johnny Manziel. How disruptive of a war room is that?

That's a lie...

They had a Shazier card turned in along with a Zack Martin card.

All of the Johnny Manziel garbage was just Jerry saying stuff to have the media speak about the Cowboys.

They know what they will do ahead of time when it comes to these picks.

He is still a narcissistic Jones ........ it was him on the party bus with the head ref and the strippers.

He will end up just like his daddy. Using the team to satisfy his own ego.

Yeah, I don't buy it. He's still the GM and has final say over all decisions. I think this is just a preemptive strike and a way to throw in a pot shot at Jerry and shift all of the credit away from him if the team does in fact become "scary" good which is obviously still an open question.

I think it's pretty obvious Steven is calling the shots.

I'm sure Jerry still has the final choice on things but I doubt he has to use that power very often.

I don't care how any other teams view the Cowboys, myself I do expect this team to fight and contend and win the NFC East. Key is certainly Romo health and my hope is Elliott can help take some of the pressure off of Romo just as Murray did in 2014.

Inron't care if they have to use sign language as long as they can play football .
