I wonder why there isn't the same outcry from the media and fans everywhere towards the Green Bay Packers and the obvious bias shown toward them that was spewed incessantly throughout the week about the Dallas Cowboys the preceding week?

Because were the Cowboys and that we were supposed to lose. Its so funny that no call actually had more air time than the Dez non-catch. Yet the Dez-noncatch had more of an impact on the game.

The NFL know that they did wrong and I think they want to put this in the backburner.

Read "the Fix" by Declan Hill and tell me if you think the idea is all that outrageous?

Alex Jones isn't exactly the type of guy I want to be on the case, even if it were to be true (which it is not).

The gambling profits thing doesn't jive.

First, for the most part the gambling lines are based on trying to find the mix of fans that will bet 50/50 on that particular line. Many people know that, but Vegas isn't quite as accurate as people think when it comes to that. Even still, the increased profit based on the margin of error isn't enough to put an actual fix on the game.

And I believe it would be illegal for a professional sports league to fix their games. Point shaving is very illegal and I believe is punishable by federal law. Fixing a game would be nothing more than a form of point shaving.

Lastly, this would be a poor way to fix a game.

When it comes to fixing a game, the fixers want a very sure thing. That's why basketball will always have a problem with point shaving...it's easy to find a starter on the team and get him to fix the game. In football, it is far different because 1 player could very well *not* change the outcome of the game.

In the Donaghy situation, he would eject key players from the game early on to ensure that he would win his bets. Here, we want until Dallas has 4 minutes left.

The call was horrible and it was far more punishing than the Lions call, but we still could have gotten the ball back with a lot of time left to go down and score. It's just not a sure way to fix a game.

And IIRC, the line was Green Bay -6. We were down by 5 when the play occurred and we ended up losing by 5. The only reason to 'fix' the game was to make sure that the Packers cover the spread which they weren't doing and didn't do in the end.

I also feel that there is no way that you can fix a game for one team to win. However, when there were obvious blown calls to favor one team from winning then a lot of questions will have to be answered.

That blown call has immense ramifications on the NFL. Even though they may not be guilty of anything. It certainly doesn't sound right when there is a controversial call on a team that lost and millions of dollars in bets on the same game.

Do people realize how silly it sounds that a game is fixed based on such a crazy catch is that? How can anyone even predict that such a catch would even happen lol.

I'll concede that NFL officiating is so bad and inconsistent at times that it would be impossible for one to determine if the games are fixed or not. But, if they were going to fix a game, there is no way they would wait until 4 minutes left for a challenge flag to be dropped to make their move.

Hmmm..........If a guy like Blandio is dumb enough to get in the compromising situation with JJ party bus..........does one not be able to conclude very easitly he'd do the same with high stakes gamblers and all "they offer" up

Why would they risk their multi-billion dollar tax free enterprise on paltry gambling winnings?

Refs don't get paid much. Ref who made the call was running a supply business in Pittsburgh. -- Pittsburgh!! Talk about connections to Mob.

And this call is soooo bad. So blatantly bad, I think were all just looking for answers. Real Answers.......Not the spin coming from blandino...

I want them to say. We got it wrong. But they wont do that.....

either way, people are looking for why that Catch wasn't called a Catch? They feel cheated. Robbed. This is what football fans live for. Games like the one between the Cowboys and Packers. Battling it out. tough game. Spectacular plays.

Not for some part time ref, who owns a supply business in Pittsburgh too tell them, in his judgement, he didn't make that catch. When the entire world thought is was a catch!! And even had the self righteousness to think he had that play down without ANY Doubt. 100% !!! - He should be fired. Not allowed to ref any more NFL games. We gotta watch this little nimble.

So here is my message to youngsters starting to Watch the NFL. Whether its fixed or not , whatever the case may be, don't take it too seriously.

Again, don't take it too seriously. Its gone down hill since Goodell has taken over and turned into a circus , when catches like Dezs are ruled incomplete ....because some janitorial supply salesmen didn't judge it that he made "enough" of a football move...................................................................................................................................

right....

No kids. Go spend your time on more important things. Things that are real. not fake.

NFL Facing Accusations of Fixing Cowboys/Packers Game
Gambling profits easily dwarf television revenue and ticket sales

by Kit Daniels | Infowars.com | January 12, 2015

The Dallas Cowboys’ loss in Sunday’s NFL playoff game is raising accusations that the game was rigged to ensure millions in gambling profits, which can easily dwarf television revenue and ticket sales.
In the fourth quarter of the Cowboys-Packers game, Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant made a huge catch on a fourth-and-2, moving the Cowboys near the goal line, but the referees overturned the play after initially calling it a catch.

It is also interesting to note it’s not illegal for a league to fix its own games.
