Jerry go ahead and take care of that. I have hard time with that nfl bias against the cowboys but this one reeks of it. Screw you Godell

Why should Jerry take care of it? It need to come out of Lamb's paycheck! Stop babying our players. They don't even know what personal responsiblity is. Look at Rams players, they don't even celebrate when they score touchdowns.

I never really complain about refs, etc... But, that was definitely about as dumb of a fine as you can get.

Would have made more sense to fine him for the pre-score showboating.

I get it. That type of stuff will inevitably lead to a brawl, but choose the right action to fine. Pretty sure Golden Tate was fined for waving goodbye prior to crossing the goal line a number of years back.

Donated to where and what causes? Maybe donated to CRT causes!

I think it's a charity of the player's choosing. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure they aren't paying the NFL.

Edit: aren't

Imagine losing months of mortgage payments for showboating. Least it will go to a good cause because all fines are donated, IIRC.

"The fines collected do not go to the NFL, but instead are donated through the NFL Foundation to assist Legends in need. (Programs are mutually agreed upon by the NFL and NFLPA in the CBA.)"

Yeah, they just look like idiots fining him, but not Mills. If they fined both it would make sense. Or if Lamb waved before crossing the goal like, like you referred to.
But the shove was far from unavoidable. Was definitely after he crossed the goal line. So they need to go re-think that.

You can't make this bias up anymore...

Not a big surprise considering the league's emphasis on taunting. The wave got a lot of air time, so this reaction seems fairly typical at least where our team is concerned. Like it or not, the high-profile nature of our team means that the spotlight is going to shine more harshly on us, whether the league means to do that or not. I'm sure we can find other instances with other teams that would fall into the same category, but they go unnoticed in comparison.

If a player is going to slow up before crossing the goal line, he's fair game. Contact in the endzone happens all the time. Just because it wouldn't have happened without the player slow-playing the score, doesn't mean it should be any different. Had Lamb been in a full sprint to cross the line and contact occurred exactly the same, nobody would care.

That would be a 15 yard penalty if a player did that during the game. I knew he would get fined the moment it happened cause they can't assess a penalty cause it was a walkoff td to end the game.
