I thought Mosley would be more aggreeable.

He doesn't own a team?Joe Realist;2751236 said:There is a reason Mike Lombardi has lost all his NFL jobs.
yeah, mosley has been pretty harsh about dallas' earlier 2nd day picksdbair1967;2751253 said:Clayton amd Mosley are killing our draft too. I'm not surprised at Clayton at all, because he is so uninformed and usually has no clue what he is talking about anyay.

I'm loving the ESPN cam in the Cowboys' draft room. We haven't been able to utilize it much, but when the Cowboys took Western Illinois outside linebacker Jason Williams, head coach Wade Phillips started clapping. I couldn't quite read his lips, but he seemed to be saying, "We fooled 'em all!" All I know is Scouts Inc. had Williams ranked as the 24th best outside linebacker in the draft -- and he wasn't even listed in the overall rankings. And those things go about 250 players deep. One scout just told me that Williams is a much better athlete than a football player. He's an amazing workout guy who can run a 4.5. The Cowboys think he'll be a beast on special teams, and they loved the fact that he forced six fumbles in his final season at Western Illinois. But does this look like a reach? Absolutely!
NEW YORK -- The Cowboys are currently having a great fifth round. Only problem is we're still in the third. With the 75th pick overall, the Cowboys selected Ball State offensive tackle Robert Brewster (6-4, 325). Scouts Inc. has him listed as the 22nd best offensive tackle and the 180th best player overall. I'm not saying Scouts Inc. is always right, but they usually have a pretty good idea of what's going on. Brewster showed up at Ball State weighing 360 pounds, but he quickly lost a lot of weight.
He has been described as "fleshy" because of all the weight loss. The positive thing is that he is a versatile player. I think the Cowboys may project him as a swing guard, and he could potentially challenge Kyle Kosier for the starting spot at left guard. Brewster dealt with tragedy during college when his high school sweetheart died three days after giving birth to their son.
n taking Oregon State linebacker Victor Butler in the fourth round, the Cowboys got a situational pass rusher. At 6-foot-2, 250 pounds, Butler doesn't have the type of strength to take on huge linemen in the running game. But he had 21 tackles behind the line of scrimmage and 12 sacks in '08. The Cowboys need someone other than DeMarcus Ware to rush the passer.
If Butler makes the team, it will be as a pass-rushing specialist and special teams player. The Cowboys have been dreadful on special teams and Butler should be able to play on several units.
The Cowboys just traded out of their 117th pick overall in the fourth round. Anyone have a clue what the Cowboys are trying to accomplish? Have they obtained a list that no one else in the NFL has
NEW YORK -- Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has outdone himself in this draft. When the Cowboys drafted Arizona kicker Nick Folk two years ago, I reached head coach Wade Phillips by phone and made fun of the pick. Well, it turned out to be an excellent choice. Folk has become one of the best kickers in the league -- and he's a clutch player. So when the Cowboys were sitting there with the 172nd overall pick today, kicker was the last position I was thinking about.
Well, Jones stunned us all, though, by taking USC kicker David Buehler. Nothing against Buehler, but what in the world were the Cowboys thinking? I know it was impressive to see Buehler put up 225 pounds 25 times at the combine, but it's not like you're moving him to linebacker. This one's baffling to me. The Cowboys have done a decent job of adding some pass rushers and I like quarterback Stephen McGee out of Texas A&M. But you needed some help at wide receiver. Can Buehler catch the ball?
I'm glad I wasn't the only one who caught that vibe from Weddle this weekend.miamicowboy21;2751273 said:All waddle wanted to do was go to bed with jeremy macklin. Like i've said before there were some impact players on the board like Micheal Johnson whom the bengals selected. He could've put Spencer on notice. Spencer has done relatively nothing for being a first round pick.

Seriously. When I heard him say that, I breathed a sigh of relief. And I didn't some of the picks. But I always laugh when they say teams have bad drafts or even great drafts when neither of the players have played a down yet. I'm guilty of it sometimes too. But it's all based on perception.jimmy40;2751209 said:OMG we almost drafted Loadhold. This draft doesn't look so bad now.

Loadhold better hope all the Bid 12 refs go pro next year. Loadhold doesn't block, he tackles.StylisticS;2751323 said:Seriously. When I heard him say that, I breathed a sigh of relief.
