I really don't appreciate NFL Network's dishonesty when it comes to scheduled programming. I was anticipating seeing the Cowboys Broncos game yesterday when I came home from a party because the scheduled programming stated that's what the game would be. Instead, if was Football Life. Then, I just was getting ready to watch the Vikings and Raiders game, as scheduled, and the NFL Network's programming was actually Football Life again. I think it's really poor of the NFL to do that. If you're saying you're going to show an NFL game, show the game. If not, don't say you're going to show the game! It's really annoying.

Samesies

Here where I live they did a split screen for most of the first half between Seahawks-Stealers and Cowboys-Broncos. Most of the second half was just Cowboys-Broncos

On the East Coast the picked up the game mid-way through the 2nd quarter. Their coverage started at 10pm here but the game started an hour earlier. I was wondering if this is some kind of ploy to get people to sign up for NFL+.

I live in Cleveland, and they didn't show any of the game.

Essentially, what the NFL Network is doing is clickbaiting for Football Life. It's a great show. Don't get me wrong, but when they say they're going to show football, they need to show football.

Agreed, how hard can it be to have the correct programs listed?

They do this every preseason. As someone noted, they will also cut into preseason games after the game has started. So they'll schedule a late Sat night preseason game at 10PM east coast time but it's known that they will be cutting into that game after it's already started.

dude! I had the same issue….set it to record starting at 10est by scheduled programming….watched two episodes of outlander with my wife then went to put it on when she went to bed, only to find it’s the middle of the 2nd quarter…..

pissed me off to say the least! Then when I saw how crappy we were playing I turned it off fast…

Different but related.

I downloaded the NFL app in order to keep up to date with the stats from preseason, knowing that in the UK I'd have no chance of seeing live games. Nearly 24 hours after the end of the Broncos game, I opened the app and clicked on the boxscore for the game stats. I was confronted with an ad inviting me to sign up for NFL +, a subscription app. I declined. I was then given the opportunity to sign up for NFL gamepass. I declined. I was then offered the chance to visit the NFL online store. I declined. Finally I was then shown a blank page of stats, I scrolled to the bottom where I found the message that game stats were not yet available.

I deleted the app.

It pisses me off too because I would think, if it's the NFL Network, and there's a game on that they're saying they'll show, they'll show an actual football game. Strange, huh? Sort of like when the Weather Channel has programs that aren't weather reporting when there's a big storm in the area.

They never cut into the game as far as I could see.
