NFL: No alcohol for team functions, flights

Until you go to a soccer game then be prepared for Urin bombs, fights knifing and tons of belligerent drunk people. Just look out there for all the articles about that stuff

Dont believe everything you read about that. I have seen my share of English Premier League matches and have had no trouble and no violence.

The American media likes to play up the bad examples as it further reinforces the majorities already dim opinion of soccer.

Wow....and I thought I'd be the only one to want alcohol out of stadiums all together.

I guess I just don't see the point of alcohol.

If it's all about getting slobbering drunk, then I still don't see the point.

Anyway....Alcohol at stadiums is something we all have to learn to deal with. Those of us that abstain know we won't get people to agree with us....it would be nice if those that partake could show a little consideration every now and then though.

No comparison at all. Undergrads are all about binge drinking and partying.

Graduate students are the serious, up late, drinking glass after glass of whiskey types.

Uhm, no. At the grad school I went to, it was Shiner Bock. A good chunk of the grad students did a stint bartending at the grad school bar Valhalla. If you did, you could get a glass of beer for 25 cents.

For 5 dollars, you could keep yourself and a bunch of friends pretty happy.

The last time I touched whiskey was the day after I received my grad school acceptance letter. I got a lot of hard liquor and 2-3 cases of beer and went to the biology office, cause the guys who hung out there were the hard drinkers. And after we finished a bottle and a half of Johnny Walker that's when we decided to drive the Volkswagon Beetle into the jungle to see the Tomb of Charlie Corn.. (and that's yet another story ).
