NFL owners have approved the sale of the Washington Commanders

It’s not going to be easy to find one. Once an HC is fired twice they’re usually back to being a coordinator.
What's giving me problems is that I don't know whether or not coaches were fired. There have been coaches with more than 2 teams, but that doesn't mean they were fired from the previous two. For example, Dan Reeves, Bill Parcells, and Dick Vermeil. I don't believe they were fired twice. They left on their own.

The ones you mentioned are about the only ones I can think of at least at this moment that left on their own.

I think you're right. The double firing puts an end to head coaching.

I know many former fans of theirs, who will never come back. I'm talking old school Billy Kilmer, Theismann, Riggins, fans. They were DEEPLY offended by the name changes.
A very good friend of mine lives in Virginia and has always been surrounded by Whatshington Fans, and confirms exactly what you said.
A lot of their hardcore fanbase has been disrupted.

Or else what? They return him to Easter island?
the guy must have 9 lives. Never have I seen hc get such a free pass after he has done so little. The NFL media never holds him accountable.

Probably because he's been to a SB. Those coaches have always been held in high regard. I think Marvin Lewis of the Bengals would be a better example.

It's official

this should have been approved in march, so the new owners could do the drafting, and have time to do FA etc, so they could field a decent team.
This late, not much they can do but roll out the team as is.

Very much so. I'm a native Virginian. While I live out in the boonies today, I grew up in the DC Metro area. All of the old school Washington fans I personally know, refer to them by their original name, & refuse to acknowledge their new name, or purchase anything with their new name/logo on it.
