It has been speculated that we had the ability to create up to 25-30 million in cap room this offseason for free agency... so worst case scenario, we now have 15-20 million... that's still enough for 2-3 quality free agents...
And if the reports are true, the Boys don't have to eat all of that 10 million this year, they can split it up into two chunks, one hitting next season (when we'll have a large chunk of dead money coming off the cap)... for all I know, they might be able to put all of it off until next season (though if they can, I don't think I would)...
All this means is we're going to be a little less active in free agency this year... which sucks, but it ain't the end of the world, the way you and a few others are acting...
