Quincy Carter was better than Trent Dilfer.
Honestly, I don't care who's better than whom. You know what I care about, Jewelry.

Danny White was one of my favorite players growing up. I just loved the way he played, and he lost 3 straight championships. No one really brings up his name when talking about Cowboy greats, why? Because people care about championship winners.

And where is Romo on the top 100 best players in the NFL list, I'll help you out NO WHERE:laugh2:

Just a tip here, you can ignore it if you'd like, but I'd advise not to. When you're trying to make a point across about how horrible of a QB we have, I don't think I would mention a list that didn't put Romo on it, but it also put C.Newton as the 46th top player in the NFL. But, what the heck, if you actually believe the list than each is to their own I guess, way to show everyone your football knowledge.

So if Brady is on the list, it's still bogus? You can't have it both ways, if you agree with some of the players on the list, and don't agree with other players on the list, then it's not bogus.

I supposed, if Romo was 12th on the list, Romo fans would call this the best list in history.

This is too easy for me.

Face it guys Romo had a bad year last season ( as did the entire team). He doesn't deserve to be in the top 100 for now. The good news is he can turn that all around this season. I believe he will have a career year this season.

Since it's taking you so long to respond, I'll respond for you. The fact is, the reason those guys that NAV22 mention are even respected, is because they actually knew how to win elimination games, something Romo has proven he can't do.

And because of this, Ms, can I call you miss since your name is Amber? Because of this, players don't respect him, thus being left off the top 100 list. But I'm willing to bet that most Romo fans think he should be number 1 on the list.

Easy to say behind a keyboard isn't it? Since you apparently don't understand the game of football, let me explain. In elimination games, as in all games, there are 11 starters on offense and 11 starters on defense. Coaches rotate players in and out so normally there are about 30-35 players that play significant amount of time. QB being just 1 of those. Then there's the coaching that takes place as far as defensive and offensive play calling. All of this factors in to who wins or loses a game. Maybe you confuse tennis with football?

Oh wow, what a great analogy. Carter didn't show anywhere near the talent that Romo shows. If you would evaluate Romo based on his abilities instead of what some national media hype head, you'd understand that.
Tell me Amber, who really cares if Quincy or Romo is better if neither of them can win anything important? I mean, I don't care who's prettier out of J-lo, Brittney Spears, I can't get any of them so I don't care. I only care about the girl I can get. In other words, I only care about results. And so do NFL players, that's why Romo's not on the list.

Let me help you out Amber, although you know everything about football and I don't, I still think I may be of assistance. Do you know a guy named Peyton Manning. I'm sure you do, oh great football mind. When he got hurt, his team went 1-15. Prior to that, his team was a winner.

That one person, oh great mind, was the difference. When he left, they inserted another great football QB, and they were no longer 1-15.

Romo threw the ball into the Commanders hands, for an interception. all mighty gifted mind. 35 players didn't do that, ROMO DID. For being so football smart, I'm concerned.

It was an elimination game, and ROMO threw that INT to end our hopes, not the 35 guys.

But you are smart.

I really don't want to talk to someone who actually takes this list serious, but I guess I will anyway. Romo wouldn't be 12th on the list anyway because D.Ware is, which in itself is a joke(down year/injured), he's just very popular and well liked so he's ranked high. If you actually think this list is an actual representation of the top 100 players in the NFL, then that says it all right there.

And why are you coming out of left field with this, "So if Brady is on the list, it's still bogus?" It honestly wouldn't surprise me one bit if you believed one of the greatest QBs should be left of the top 100 list, I'm pretty new here, but from what I've seen from your posts you don't seem to have much football knowledge. :laugh2:

It is sort of easy to say it behind a keyboard. It's much easier in person though, because I can say what I want without having to follow rules. ;)

I think that the QB plays behind an offensive line and has RB's and WR's that block, try to run and try to run routes. When the offense is on the field, all 11 players are involved in each play. All of which has an effect on what the QB is able to do. And without Romo, we'd be 4-12 the last 2 years instead of 8-8.

Because I'm following the rules, you're definitely being spared. But if there are guys on the list that you agree with, then the list isn't bogus. It's just that you disagree with it because it's not your list.

But this list was not formulated by one person, but by many people. Just like voting. So you can attack all you want, but Romo is still not on the list, nor should he be.

Anyone who thinks it's fair or accurate to judge an individual player on his TEAM'S success is a buffoon. Simple as that.

G'night. Enjoy "First Take".

I don't know your age, but I grew up a Cowboys fan. And being a Cowboys fan means, we don't care about 1-15, we don't care about 4-12, and we don't care about 8-8. We care about winning Championships. But you already know this Amber, you have the great football mind around here, so does that other dude.

Some people don't understand this because they get all their takes from ESPN, or the NFL Network, etc.

I don't watch football to see someone put up stats, I watch to see my team compete, play in the playoffs, and win championships. So again, I don't care about your stats, I don't care about Moreno, I care about the Aikman's of the world, who incidentally, did not have great stats.

I call BS on that because your so proud of this Top 100 list from the NFL Network. You obviously read that.
Again, brilliant one, I saw the post, and all I saw is that Romo was not on the list. I've not even seen the list, because frankly, I don't care. My point was to the Romo lovers that they are blind to what he's incapable of doing thus far in his career, and that's winning important stuff.

Keep guessing though, I'm sure just like gambling, you'll hit on something right.

Thank you for sparing me, ole' great one that knows all.

The list was voted by 25% of the NFL players, and also some teams didn't even have players vote, which just shows even more that this list is a joke. To add more fuel to the fire, players were only allowed to select 20 players, THEY DIDN'T EVEN SELECT A TOP 100!

I'll take this list serious when it's not skewed, tell me when they have 50% of players of EACH NFL team vote, until then it's just a popularity contest.

Feel free to respond, but I probably won't reply. Gotta hit the haystack, because I have to get up early tomorrow to get my Tiger Woods on. :D

Ohh, sorry if I forgot to mention, thanks for sparing me again.

I don't know anyone's credentials, and I usually don't debate this long anymore, cause when I do, I usually hurt someone's feelings. But I don't know who anyone is here, I just try to have a clean conversation, debate, but if someone attacks me, even underhandedly, then it is what it is.

I never said I was the great one, you and Amber did. But the point is dude, Romo is NOT on the list. And because of this, Romo lovers are ticked off. And it's so like a homer to whine when someone talks bad or undervalues a player they like.

If Romo had been on that list, you would be on top of your roof, singing an original Romo theme song that you and your buddies wrote.
