Probably only polled players that scored in single digits on the Wunderlick test.

This might operate to our benefit. If I were Romo, this would really piss me off.

I actually think RGIII is still a run first QB, which makes him a lot like Vick on the field, though they are certainly different off of it.

I think RGIII has the potential to be a much better passer though, and being able to work with Shannahan should help him as well.

RG3 was a "much better passer" than Vick while he was still in college lol...he's already surpassed Vick and would have to regress significantly to be in Vick's company.

You don't think the Cowboys had enough talent to make the playoffs last year? If not then you must not have any hopes for this season.
Lee, Ratliff, Carter, Church, Scandrick and all those other guys.

Pre injuries yea it was a good roster, but with all of those guys hurt, no way.

If it stays healthy, this is a much better team.

See the Wonderlic scores or the fact that Tebow made this list once if you think these rankings mean a damn thing.

Even when Lee and Carter on the field the Cowboys defense got pummeled by Seattle and Chicago. There were issues with the team before all the injuries it's not the talent it's the coaching that's been the biggest problem. The Cowboys have been a disorganized team under Garrett. We've seen some poor game management that's cost the team games. Until the coaching improves no additions to the roster is going to make this a consistent team.

this has been going on years. The guys on the field just don't see all the accolades the media and fans seem determined to hand out to Romo.

This is how it works:

PR hype machine:
1. Media (paid for by Cowboys)
2. Fans

The truth:
1. Football piers/players voting.

Outside of athleticism and skin color, RG3 and Vick are nothing alike.

But that argument's been beaten to death.

You left out injury report. They've got something in common there too.

This. Add Ware too for much of the season.

Given that the Cowboys are consistently among the most disliked teams in the NFL, why would they vote to put Romo in the Top 100?

The truth about Romo is somewhere in the middle. He isn't as great as some proclaim and not as bad as others say.

That is the truth he isn't as great as his lovers think he is and he isn't as awful as his haters think he is. He's a very good QB "most" of the time but he's nothing more and nothing less than that.

We get so worked up over these "polls", but the more important question is whether or not Romo is good enough to help his team win a championship. He either is, or he isn't. I think he is. He's not good enough to carry a team there, but no QB has ever had to carry his team to a championship. Every QB that has ever won a SB had a great team around him.

As far as where he ranks a some poll, it's really irrelevant.

RG3 helped improve Washington from 5-11 to 10-6 and led them to their first division title in over a decade. He beat Romo twice head to head last season and the second meeting had a the division title and a playoff birth on the line. What has Romo done in his 7 years as the starter?

And does RGIII not have one more playoff wins than Romo?
All things considered, RGIII would be more productive in Dallas. But that's just bad ol' me.

He led his previous 6-10 team to a division win and the playoffs as a ROOKIE. Did I mention his team sucked badly too?

So did Romo.

Romo is who we think he is! If we want to crown him, crown him!

Two things here that peeks my interest. Doesn't sound like players officially vote for the top 100 players.

And if you think that Cam Newton and Colin Capernick should be ahead of him, that is pretty funny. Neither one can read a defense, and one can only throw to the right side of the field. If anything, Capernick choked the SB away last season. He had Randy Moss wide open on back side slants at least 2 times, but failed to even look on the left side of the field. But he can sure run fast!
First year starting vs going on 8 for Romo, plus, he was in the Super Bowl. When was Romo ever in any super bowl, even as a visitor?
