Like others have mentioned it starts and ends in the trenches on both sides of the ball.

Also helps not abandoning the run and keeping the other team honest. Pacheco averaged 18-24 carries per game besides the bills game in the post season. 3.7, 2.8, 3.3ypc against the dolphins, ravens, and niners.

Pollard was 3.7ypc at 15 carries so its not KC dominated on the ground. Niners also focused on stopping the run and letting dak "beat" them.

Plus helps having a top tier QB
Well you can’t stop the run or run the ball unless you build out from the trenches.

Well solid offensive play helps the defense out and vice versa. When the offense can't string together a drive until few minutes before the end of the half, turns the ball over you have essentially hung your defense out to dry. And you can scream about the defense needs to stand up or beat people up, hot boyz hot boyz, it won't mean anything because you can only keep bailing out people so many times. For this go look at the playoff game against San Fran in 2023 - defense holds the opponent to under 20 points. What's the common claim that is stated here - hey if the offense scores 21 it should be a win. Well the defense held their offense to under 21, where was the offense? Btw, that game the defense showed up and the offense and Dak crapped the bed.
Well the vice versa never happened.

I don't think there is one formula for winning, but the one you stated is probably the easiest to achieve, if you think about it. Then again, it helps to have a clear plan.

I think the priority has to be on the defense. You don't need a stifling defense like the '85 Bears, but you need a defense that can hold the opponent when it has to. More than anything, you need players who play their best when the the chips are down.

The Cowboys offense was good enough last year. The defense was undermanned. I don't know what happened against GB. The defense didn't just get run on. The secondary left receivers wide open for big plays 4 or 5 times too. It was a bad time for the secondary to fall apart after playing pretty well all year.
The Cowboys passing game was good enough last year but the running game wasn’t and that’s what you need to win in the playoffs.

Did you watch the game? We started on defense correct? When did the defense do anything?

Dallas scored before the half and opening drive after the half. 27-10. Then what did our D do next.

Gave up a TD in 5 plays.

Gave up another TD in 3 plays.

Gave up another TD 8 plays.

It took 56 minutes of the game before our D forced GB to punt.

KC average D gave up 17 points.
In the SF game in 2023 Daks 2 int resulted in 6 points so the D gave up 13 points, so that year the D needed to to hold the 9ers to only 5 more points so 11 total for Dallas to win. So in2022 Daks int cost 7 points so the D gave up 16 points and gave Dak a int that led to 7 for Dallas. Stop trying with your nonsense the D more than did their job Dak flat out sucked, then then trying to be the hero QB drawer and blew the game and then said throw garbage at the refs. LMAO with the uneducated fans.

I believe you are referring to the 2022 playoff game. Where our kicker could not make an extra point and we were afraid to kick FG's at that point because he had a melt down.

This was also the game where Pollard got hurt and then our offense became 1 dimensional with Zeke averaging 2 yards a carry.

First int - the one were Gallup did not complete his route and completely gave up on the play because he did not think the ball would be thrown to him. I remember that.

2nd int was bad, thrown into double coverage. That led the Niners on an 80 hard drive for a TD. Strange how all of Dak's interceptions lead to TD's.

BTW, if we want to talk about offensive performance in the Gb game here are all the drives in the first half

1 - PUNT - drive took 3:43 - went 27 yards
2 - INTERCEPTION - drive took 43 seconds - went 5 yards
3 - PUNT - drive took 5:44 - went 44 yards
4 - INTERCEPTION - drive took 1:33 - resulted in a Pick 6
5 - TOUCHDOWN - drive took 1:50 - went 40 yards

That's the body of work Dak Prescott and the #1 offense in the league put up in the first half of a playoff game. If you think the defense set the tone of that game you are horribly mistaken. The first interception was after the defense forced a GB punt. Defense just got off the field and then got thrown back out there by Dak and the offense in 43 seconds.

I keep telling people that but they are just blinded by the cold hard facts.

The game started on defense and you believe the offense set the tone? After an 8 minute, 12 play, 75 yard jam it down your defenses throat?

If you say so.

You cant even provide the correct information about what happened after that.

You clearly wanna blame it all on the defense stating it took them 56 odd mins to force gb to punt? Wth were you even watching?

I never said the offense set the tone, i said the offense did squat to help the def from getting stomped after that first drive. If you watched the game, the defense clearly forced gb to punt after we went on a 8 play drive and punted back to them. You want more? What did dak do after gb punted? He throws a pick.

Enough said buddy.

Get your facts straight.

So your theory is that after that first drive the offense decided to just pack it in and say why bother? That's the dumb take you are going for? The very next drive after that first score the defense you so malign forces a PUNT, offense goes out there and promptly turns the ball over.

Not at all. That is your take on Dak at QB.
