Honestly, this is the only reason I put Dak slightly above Romo...he has dominated the NFC East for the most part. But I have no doubt if we face the Eagles in the playoffs, Dak will choke. You have all the numbers in front of you, but you don't want to do the math: It's not the color of the jerseys or even the talent level of the teams we are playing - though I have my doubts about his 'talent' - but the main problem is IN DAK'S HEAD. Top dollar for a 9th year headcase who has a bum wheel? It's time to DISCARD him..not INVEST in him...

I get that you have some sort of emotional attachment to him, but this makes very little football "sense". Maybe I'm too "dense" to see your math.

And don't wash your hands of this by saying, "nothing WE can do...". All I know is that you were the MAIN ONE screaming for Dak to "get his money". You should be happy...mission accomplished. Dak got his money and we got hosed.
I said Dak get his money and I said it shouldn’t be in Dallas. So make sure you get all the facts. The last thing Jerry should’ve did was give Lamb and Dak that contracts when he did. I kept the same energy. If Dak was serious about winning he wouldn’t have re-signed here. He did.s

You only started saying "not in Dallas" after you realized how much Dak was asking for. OK, cool...but you still were advocating for some team to be duped by the Choker. And now that we are trapped with this Choker, you want to invest in him...so I find your claims of not wanting to pay Dak hallow. At the end of the day, you're glad he's paid and you're glad he's here....I'm not.

https://www.nfl.com/news/cowboys-qb-dak-prescott-brian-schottenheimer-is-tied-directly-to-my-future

"The simple conversation I had with (owner) Jerry (Jones), post the decision of Mike walking, was simply that, the continuity," Prescott said. "They wanted to keep continuity. Obviously had a lot of success with this group, with these men, and knew this was important to me. And Shotty has been a huge factor in that, setting up the game plan, creating the game plan.

"If you wanted to find continuity in place, look no further than Shotty."
This was reason number 1 I didn't want shotty or Moore to get the job...this offense needed a totally different approach, but whatever makes chokeman happy I guess.

Odd... he's had 3 in his career. Scott Linehan. Kellen Moore. Brian Schottenheimer

1 is already a HC, the other is in the Super Bowl and is about to be a Head Coach, and Scott... well he was washed before Dak got here.

but still 2/3rds of them becoming HCs... seems like the opposite of "killing"
None of those teams have Prescott as QB,see the difference.

I’m all for players getting what they owed. They put their brains and bodies on the line for your enjoyment while you sit on the couch in awe…you crying over something you can’t control. He’s here. He ain’t going nowhere.

You're also for speaking out both sides of your mouth and pretending you're making logical sense. You can't advocate for Dak to "get his money" because he's doing the SAME THING ALL NFL PLAYERS DO. Especially since we live in a salary cap era.

The list of pretty good quarterbacks who turned their career around and become SB champs is very small. I guess you could put Stafford and Plunkett in that list, but I can't think of anybody else.

And of course, there have been quarterbacks who were fortunate enough to fall into stacked teams and could be the proverbial "bus driver" and win a SB.

Dak is certainly not in the latter category; Cowboys are hardly a stacked team. Though in today's NFL that can happen pretty quickly. After 9 years in the league Dak still could be in the first category, Stafford was in Detroit for 12 years before winning it all in LA.

Not saying Schott can't do it, just that it's extremely unlikely he can turn Dak around and win a SB with him.

Nothing we can do but wait and see...

I’m not. I said Dak should get as much money as possible for another team. How is that talking out the side of my mouth? You just don’t like it because you can’t comprehend how someone can’t think the way you do on a subject but it’s possible.

Well, if that didn't send an ice cold chill through every bone in Brian Schottenheimer's body I don't know what would.

Every other coach whose future has been directly tied to Dak ended up getting sacrificed on his altar after a few years. Congratulations Shotty. You're next in the barrel

. Luckily for them they got fired before Dak completely destroyed any opportunity they had to go succeed elsewhere

"They're getting head coach gigs elsewhere and making it to the Super Bowl as coordinators elsewhere, but somehow working with Prescott they just couldn't seem to find the right formula." You're kind of making the argument for him aren't you?
