Why dont U watch him play, because he isn't good at all. Manningham will be trash too. The only player they have that will be worth a darn is Steve Smith. Jury is still out on this Hixon guy but for people to claim that he is part of "depth" is insane.

Colts release QBs Gray, Lorenzen, RB Keith

Backup quarterbacks Jared Lorenzen and Quinn Gray were among the players waived by the Colts Saturday. The move leaves the team with two active quarterbacks in Peyton Manning and Jim Sorgi.

Additionally, the Colts released 18 other players:

WRs Devin Aromashodu, Sam Giguere and Onrea Jones, DTs Joe Bradley, Dan Davis and Colin Ferrell, DE Jeff Charleston, DBs Brannon Condren and Brandon Foster, OL Tala Esera, DE Ben Ishola, LBs Kyle Shotwell and Victor Worsley, RBs Chad Simpson and Kenton Keith, OTs Darren Marquez and Michael Toudouze and TE Tyrice Thompson.

Additionally, LB Tyjuan Hagler and OG Ryan Lilja were placed on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list.

Defensive back Fernando Bryant and quarterback Matt Gutierrez were among the 18 players released by the New England Patriots Saturday. Bryant’s release, along with that of DB Jason Webster on Aug. 26 removes two veteran players with starting experience brought in this offseason to help replace Asante Samuel.

Gutierrez was battling Matt Cassel to become the Patriots’ backup QB behind Tom Brady.

In addition to Bryant and Gutierrez , the Patriots released the following players:

Defensive linemen Titus Adams and Santonio Thomas, cornerback Mike Richardson, tight end Tyson DeVree, safety Mark Dillard, center Mike Flynnn, running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis, linebackers Victor Hobson and Vince Redd, tackle Stephen Sene, defensive back Antwain Spann and guard John Welbourn.

Additionally, the Patriots placed LB Bo Ruud and DL Kenny Smith on the seserve/injured list and T Oliver Ross on the reserve/non-football injury list.
