You do realize the overseas games are not a out what the nation watches but what non us countries watch, its about build a global audience and a global product.

The NFL has designs on becoming a true global sport and don't care about US views getting. Little ruffled that they have to get up at 7am to warch their favorite team once a year.

This train isn't stopping, I don't care for it but it's only going to be magnified
The NFL will be 3rd fiddle to soccer and basketball in Europe at best. Its a niche' sport in Europe. No tradition or youth participation. Its basically an appeal to ex-pats.

The NFL would be wise not to forget its base and who made it what it is today.

You need to come to London on the weekend of a game, and now Germany…. Because you couldn’t be more wrong.

Funny, you’re wrong about all of this according to every NFL viewership statistic. Why do y’all think you know better than the people who do this for a living. They’ve made the NFL number one in absolutely every freaking thing they do, just stop embarrassing yourself.
He's not wrong, but neither are you. The ratings keep going up because Goodell is always focused on bringing the casual fans to the TV. The league knows, we diehards will find a way to watch the games if they are broadcasts at 10am on a Wednesday, we are a captive audience, who the league takes for granted. They spend zero seconds trying to make our viewership a better experience. The draft for instance, no fans want it on Thursday night, but the casual fan will tune in and check it out. So in essence it is watered down to accommodate the casuals and we just have to deal with whatever they give us.

Week 4 - Atlanta v. Jacksonville in London
Week 5 - Jacksonville v. Buffalo at Tottenham

The Jaguars are going spend quite some time in Jolly Old England.

With over to SB Nation website 'Big Cat Country'.
Most Jaguars fans like the two-game setup in London.
Falcons is their "home" game
Bills is their "away" game - but not having to go Buffalo, possibly in December/January.
After the Falcons game, the Jaguars can go about having a somewhat normal practice week overseas, while their next opponent, the Bills - have to travel from Buffalo to play in their "home" game v. the "visiting" Jaguars.

I love how people say this. NHL fans say it all the time too.

The bases that matter are corporate sponsorships, corporations who buy boxes, and people who watch on TV.

Die hards aren't where the money is.

yup, but viewership internationally is growing and with more eyeballs comes the potential for more revenue. I don't see this contracting at any point and as long as they see more viewship and more opportunites its going to keep expanding...they care about money, not about the base unfortunatly...the only way the base can effect the situation is if they start watching less of the product and the NFL sees a need to change the approach.

Oh how nice to start at home and finish the last two at home. You can’t tell me there is no bias in this lol

Just means we are Week 18 at Washington again

I have to wonder what people in london who become jaguars fans and then come to america to see them think.

I can't imagine the shock of being from London and coming to a dump like Jacksonville. Hot, muggy weather surrounded by drunk/high rednecks. I would think you would go home and burn all your jaguars gear after a visit to that place.
