I am with theebs on this one. Stand and cheer your team. If I am sitting and the guy in front of me stands up, you know what I do...I stand up as well. Damn, people act like they can't stand up becuase its so much work. Loose some damn weight, get in shape and stand up and cheer your team on. If you want to sit down with an unobstructed view keep you butt at home.

I'm not saying anything like that, but going to a football game and a concert, you have to believe that not everyone wants to stand up the whole time, and not everyone wants to mosh

I understand that, but don't complain when people are standing or cheering at a football game. it's just what people do. here are two very common sense rules of thumb:

1. if you go to a sporting event and expect everyone to stay seated and not cheer, DON'T GO TO THE GAME! stay home, eat food, drink beer, and watch it on TV.

2. if you go to a rock concert and don't like people moshing or putting their hands up or singing to the music, don't stand anywhere near the front. most of the people doing that stuff are closer to the stage.

it's really not a hard concept.

Nobody's saying act like a drunken fool when standing. Just stand, clap, cheer, and yell, especially when the D is on the field.

There should be a section designated for people who have a problem with standing fans. Cupcakes and hot or ice cold tea could be served with a little security blanket. Little footies can be handed out to keep your feet comfy and warm during the cold parts of football season. There can be people assigned to each sitting section to come and whisper sweet nothings in your ear on demand for a small price.

i have mixed emotions about this. i understand why some people would be bothered by others that are drunk and standing blocking the view of others but at the same time its a football game and you are supposed to be loud and help give ur team a homefield advantage. i dont know eh... i could understand both points...

Its called majority rules buddy. You dont inconvenience the majority because of your condition.
We all know what is involved in a live football game. It is presumptuous, inconsiderate and egocentric to expect others to deviate from the "norm" to placate your needs.
The "Norm" in live sporting events involves but is not exclusive to, standing and cheering for your team.
Yes Velvet..in short a person who expects the world to conform to him would be the very definition of prick.
