It's a football game not a choir concert fellows. I had guy ask me and my friend to sit 2 yrs ago when we were playing the Texans. I 1st ignored him thinking he was kidding. Then he got rude and asked again. I told if he wanted to sit go watch a choir concert. We were on D and I was sitting.

As far as the few comments about people at TS not standing is simply not true. The Indy game in 06 the whole stadium stood the entire game except for timeouts and couple breaks while they were on O. I had to hold my 4 yr old son the whole game. My arms were killing me the next day.

My guess is that it isn't that simple. You get one text and that is that. You gt 12 texts about the same guy... you send someone. It really isn't that hard to make it work. I think you guys are either thinking way too much about this or way too little.

You think a group wou;d not due that to a fan wearing a Broncos Jersey

Or people that do not like a guy for what ever reason

Wants the point if it takes 12 messages

Looks like there's a serious lack of respect...not surprising in this day and age.

If I'm standing and someone POLITELY asks me to sit.

I sit.

If there's a group in front that's standing....

I stand.

If someone asks me to sit when there are people in front of me standing, I'll simply point this out to the person asking me to stand.

It's not difficult. People seem to forget how to be considerate to those around them. Sporting evens are EXPENSIVE....no doubt. All of us seem to think that we're the only ones that paid that much for a ticket....or that we're the only ones that had to sacrifice something for a ticket. Because of that we feel we're ENTITLED to behave how we want.

All of us want a loud stadium. We want to cause the opposition to false-start, call time-outs, etc due to crowd noise. But if you give me the choice in having respectful, considerate fans or Eagle-type fans.

It's no contest at all.

Y'all should pay more attention to this post.

This post should be printed on the back of the tickets.

I go through this about twice a year at OU games. It's usually ok, but every once and awhile some doucherag moans about me standing.

When there is action on the field, I am standing, PERIOD. If you want me to sit you're gonna have to whip my *** or have me escorted out.

I am a very courteous fan and a great person to watch football with, but this crap is just dumb.

If you're gonna complain and try to ruin everyone's time at a game, sit your tired and fatass at home in your nice comfy lazy boy and let the real men yell for our team.

People on this board should know that.

You should just make a video for everyone so they can fully understand I guess.

Wow..I cant believe anyone would actually have the chutzpah to tell someone to sit down during a sporting event. Furthermore I am in shock that a franchise would try to enforce this rule.
Your fans are your 12th man.
If you have a medical condition and you cant stand during a football game. DONT GO TO A LIVE GAME STUPID.
I dont care if you have a medical condition. If you expect the world to cater to your condition you are a selfish, self involved prick.
Yeah, cripples can be pricks too.

Do we really want the NFL to be anything like the NBA? The Lakers are always criticized for having fans who don't really get into the game, are there for the event. And its going to start happening in the NFL with all of these beautiful new stadiums and expensive ticket prices.

The line between sporting event and pop-culture is becoming blurry...and there shouldn't even be a line.

Football games are slowly transitioning from a blue-collar loudmouthed attitude to a corporate, family-friendly event. Its going to be a shame when the new stadium is full of 80,000 fans that don't stop talking/texting on their Blackberry's.

On one hand, it's a football game so standing SHOULD be expected at LEAST part of the gam. I've never really gone to a concert but I wouldn't expect to be able to stay seated the whole time.

On the other, at TS when I went, I usually sat when people sat and jumped up when everyone jumped up. So I just kinda went with the flow of the game and other fans. I wouldn't want to be the only one standing if everyone was seated. That could be kinda rude. But if everyone is standing and you're singled out, thats pretty lame.

Maybe they should just have seated zones so people can get rowdy in the lower decks and seated up high. Standing and going crazy looks better on tv anyway. Sorta looks lame when they cut to texas stadium crowds and everyone is seating just halfway clapping.....just no energy.

Yes I would. That is presumptuous of you that I would not. Although they know I love them like distant great uncles struggling in the peat bogs in the old coohn-three.

what are you trying to say? dancing and bobbing your head isn't good at a concert?

obviously, you're either not musically talented or haven't played in front of more than 10 people. you don't like my attitude? that just proves my point. fan interaction gets the adrenaline pumping, which makes for a better show. in one of our songs, we have a musical break with just vocals. one of the most awesome feelings in the world is hearing the crowd singing along with our vocalist at that point. I'll sum it all up with this statement:

Going to a football game expecting everyone to stay seated is like going to an Iron Maiden concert expecting no one to mosh.

I'm not saying anything like that, but going to a football game and a concert, you have to believe that not everyone wants to stand up the whole time, and not everyone wants to mosh

I doubt everyone wants to hear loud music and/or fans screaming in their ears either. I guess we should outlaw music and screaming as well.

Or maybe you should expect that if you go to a game/concert and quit complaining.

Why should a few people who are put out by this type of behavior at an event have more say than the many who expect it and partake in it? We all pay for our tickets the same as you.

I don't think the problem most have with standing is what you're thinking.

If you're the only one in your area standing, do you not think someone has the right to ask you to sit?

I do.

Just the same, if almost everyone around is standing, I think the people sitting ought to stand (if possible).

A lot of posts on this thread are troubling....there's such a lack of respect and consideration from so many.

It's not about YOU (and I don't mean you personally....I'm talking about anyone reading the thread). You have to take into consideration what others are doing.

This attitude of "you should expect that at a ballgame" is true....but if you're the only one doing it, and you're asked politely to sit, you should sit. If you don't, you're just being a jerk.

By the same token, if you're the only one sitting, and you expect everyone else to sit because you can't see....then you're the jerk.

Sure you have the right to ask me to sit if I'm the only one standing. (BTW this is all purely hypothetical, b/c I'm never going to be the only one standing, and I'm sure you specifically aren't going to be the one person sitting. And I'm definitely not the one who will be asking the one guy to sit.) But I also have the right to deny that request. That is until they start outlawing standing, like the Chiefs are doing. But it's still a ridiculous request IMO. You as a ticket holder don't have some kind of priority over me. If you're sitting behind me, you probably spent the same or less than I did. If you don't want people standing in front of you, then you have to pay a premium for the seat in front of those people. I happen to think the lack of consideration is on the part of the person sitting down trying to ruin the experience for the stander.

Also, I think you're the one missing the point of my post. I responded to Bob who said that "not everyone wants to stand or mosh" or whatever. I don't care if everyone in the stadium wants to stand or not. If I want to stand, I will stand.

I think the mentality that fans shouldn't stand or scream is exactly why Texas Stadium is so morose. No one wants to rock the boat or put anyone out. Well I'm a fan of my team, and if they need support at an important stage of the game, I'm going to do it.

Whatever he and you do if fine.
But this is my response to you.

You obviously felt slighted by the doctor and his well-proportioned wife. The healthy looking couple obviously didn't like your demeanor and called you on it.

You and your bully buds gave it to him and the authorities were called.

You got a rush from being a tough guy. OK, let's shoot you. Like we all haven't at one time pulled that juvenile trick.

But you got a rush and just had to let us know that you won't take no guff from nobody, even a healthy, well-nourished couple who are obviously healthy.

Ah been around you yahoo types all mah life, and I don't like that act.

Just quit denying you were aggressive or belligerant and portraying yourself like you are a Bernard Baruch or something.

Aggressive punk. Just quit doing that tough guy act and you might start getting along with people.
