NFL Television Coverage Maps - Week 13

Didn't want to start a new thread on viewing games so I'll put my question here. How come the game on NFL Network last night was Blacked out in Kansas City last night? I thought this was the whole reason to buy the friggin channel...so you could view the game. Was anyone else Blacked out from the Cinc/balt game last night?!?

Kinda pissed about it!

NFL Network wanted more $$$ to show the game, so some cable companies aren't showing them.

Meanwhile, the satellite companies had no such problems and aren't blacking out anything.

Broadcasting the supreme truth from 50,000 watts of power for majestic and accurate thought.

A question posed, to you, sir of the TV broadcast map:

Hey, what up with the Bay Area? They don't get any football?
I realize that the Latte Bowl (Kickball competitions between um, big boys and other boys) is a big draw there, but darn, you'd think someone in the Bay Area would want to see the Cowboys.

Makes me proud to live in FB where Dixie flies proudly, the women look strong and striking in their Ford trucks and thinking is rarely done and for good reason.

Am I right or am I right?

I was just wondering about that. The maps show the Texans and Cowboys opposite each other, and they usually don't do that. I know they did when we played the Skins, but that was a rarity.

Generally if you live in a home team market, say AFC like the Houston area, and theres an NFC doubleheader game being played at the same time as the Houston game, you'll get a doubleheader game if the home team is playing on the road.

If it's a home game the other network wont show a game in that market at the same time.

That is correct. And just to piggyback on your quote, Texans play at Oak, so Houston will get the Texans on CBS and 'Boys on Fox...

it sure is nice knowing the cowboys are on every week for me, again.

oh wait....i still have to find a bar for the atlanta game.

screw you time warner!

I live in Connecticut and this will be 12 for 12 for Cowboys game -- I've gotten every single one on regular television.

I'll get the Saints next week, Falcons after that (I have NFL Network), Eagles on Christmas.. only game that's up in the air is the game against the Lions, but 15 out of 16 games while I live 1800 miles away? Not bad.
