They should make a rule that allows players for a team that won their division last year can wear any pair of cleats they want. Basically 8 teams per year get cleat choices.
Sooooooo, all sports, all military, all jobs that require a uniform are silly? The first Jordan's weren't NBA legal either.
These leagues concentrate on nonsense sometimes.
CD isn't a victim, he's just in a league with silly rules.
Along w/ many many jobs.A barrier? Can you explain how? And which would you deem "a good league" because all the major sports have fairly strict uniform rules?
The only shoes/cleats I hate are the yellow ones!! Makes me think a flag has been thrown on every play!! LOLMaybe it's just me but I don't want to see 22 different colors of cleats on the field at the once. It's a team game and nice to have some uniformity.
It's the No Fun League!Think about what the term “uniform” means.
Since it’s supposedly “fun” to let a defensive end wear #4, maybe also just let players play in whatever colors they want. Just guess who is on which team.
I’m old. Leave me alone.
I hear ya those are annoyingThe only shoes/cleats I hate are the yellow ones!! Makes me think a flag has been thrown on every play!! LOL
They allow them to do individualized cleats in designated games. They allow them celebrations. It's not like they have no ability to express themselves.Style is part of the game for many athletes. And that's a good thing.
A good sports league encourages personal style and expression and individuality, because it's something that can get kids to actually care about the sport and want to play too.
Sports shouldn't feel like you're in the army. The NFL has the dumbest rules on uniforms and I actually think it's a barrier to bringing new people to the sport.
I have a problem with NFL uniforms in general. I wish it was like soccer, new kits every year.A barrier? Can you explain how? And which would you deem "a good league" because all the major sports have fairly strict uniform rules?
Very true. Well saidThey allow them to do individualized cleats in designated games. They allow them celebrations. It's not like they have no ability to express themselves.
The idea of a uniform is so each team is clearly identifiable & becomes its own form of branding. What are they supposed to do, let each player customize the rest of their gear? Does the NBA or MLB?
If a person is so concerned with "style" they should go into a profession that is compatible. Besides, they can style all they want off the field and still get plenty of attention. When it's time to go to work, put on the uniform and be about what they are getting paid for. I want to watch players trying to be the best they can be as athletes not social media stars. At least that's my opinion. Merry Christmas!!
Perfectly reasonableThey allow them to do individualized cleats in designated games. They allow them celebrations. It's not like they have no ability to express themselves.

I suppose that little joke was what prompted allowing the end zone thing after a turnover….yet celebrating a TD is considered unsportsmanlike conduct. It's the No Fun League!
Then I guess you are not a fan of the NBA...Maybe it's just me but I don't want to see 22 different colors of cleats on the field at the once. It's a team game and nice to have some uniformity.
