NFL threatened to take Ceedee out of the game because of his shoes

perhaps so, but not as concerns wearing shoes for which I'm going to pay a fine.
Right, but that's our sensibilities. I think for these players, it's no different than receiving a citation from the city for letting your lawn get too tall.

Sooooooooooo, guess we now know where CD's head is during the game!!!!

"Yeah, I dropped that easy pass, but check out these shoes!!!!"

Did I actually day that , or are you so desperate to argue you need to ad lib?
Desperate? That's a strange take.

You really don't know that uniforms are required for many many jobs?

lol, all sports going so soft and losing peoples interest.

CeeDee Lamb wore Nike Kobe 6 “Grinch” cleats vs. the Giants on Thanksgiving. There were no issues. But when he wore these green Nike air zoom pro vapor cleats on Sunday, NFL officials made him take them off at halftime.

Lamb: “I got fined a lot this year. Bro, I’m like a target. … I don’t know what I did or what I have done. If I’ve done anything, I apologize. … They said they’re gonna take me out of the game if you don’t change your shoes.”

Jalen hurts, he had different color cleats on. They’re going to find his little pocketbook also.

Ok. It's about the color of the shoe, not the brand.
You are only allowed to wear team colours on our shoes. Why do you think that is? Because the colours of your team
are part of the brand your franchise represents.

And that brand is sold by your franchise and the NFL.

Or do you think different colours on your shoes makes it hard for the viewer to distinguish between the players of the teams ?

If you think its not like that what do you think happens if a player choses to wear shoes in team colour but with a logo on it with a different sponsor than the NFLs or his franchises official one?

Yes desperate to argue. I never said all jobs requiring uniforms are silly. That was your own bs. I made zero mention of the military or anyone else. This is a game for entertainment. Let's not compare it to real life, or anything of real importance.

Style is part of the game for many athletes. And that's a good thing.

A good sports league encourages personal style and expression and individuality, because it's something that can get kids to actually care about the sport and want to play too.

Sports shouldn't feel like you're in the army. The NFL has the dumbest rules on uniforms and I actually think it's a barrier to bringing new people to the sport.
Whoa I get your thought, but you are proposing a slippery slope.

What if someone wants to wear their own jersey? Change the letter sizing on the name on the back of the jersey to double the size.

Have fluorescent lights on the nameplate all in the name of style.

This doesn't address the tradition of football being the ultimate "team" sport and no one person can win the game by themselves. Do we want kids to join the sport thinking they can be highlighted like they are tennis players or do we want kids to join football to learn collaboration and comraderie in the pursuit of a common goal?
