I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that had the two calls not been made it wouldn't have made any difference in the outcome.
There is no way to say those two calls took points off the board.
People thought full time refs was the answerthey need to make every penalty reviewable, as bad as the current NFL reffing is, they cannot have these games come down to bad reffing week after week

Add this one to the list of bizarre BS calls that have cost the Cowboys a chance to win games. Last years call on LP for spinning the ball before a game tying FG, Butler getting "Unsportsmanlike" for being in the huddle in the playoff game against GB, and if course.....Dez caught it. I guess we should be happy it wasn't a playoff game this time.
Two penalties that shouldn't have mattered if we didn't have an underachieving team courtesy of an incompetent coaching staff.

the only explanation is that Belichick talked with the refs before hand to look for it, because those penalties are rarely called like Shanahan talked with the Refs to cause the snap infraction that has never been called in LP's career
Some posters here don't understand statistics. They think that what happened on Sunday is very common! 2 times in 10 years means there is 1/2560 chance every game that two tripping calls happen. That is less than 0.1% chance. I think some lottery games have better odds.
This is similar to the huddle penalty called on Dallas against GB in the playoffs. It was also only the second time it happened in 15 years. Those odds
are 1/3840 LOL
But those two extremely unlikely situations happened to Dallas in the past few years. I guess we are just very very unlucky huh?
The only penalty that currently can be reviewed (PI) rarely gets overturned, even in calls/non-calls that are blatantly wrong:So does this mean the Cowboys won the game? Cool. I'm still for reviewing penalties or at least being able to challenge them.
That’s the one I forgot!!don't forget when we got a defensive false start last year.
What would it matter? They will not change a call/non-call no matter how blatantly wrong.People thought full time refs was the answer
That failed
Maybe the answer is expanding reviewable plays[/QUOTE]
They were both wrong but it doesn’t take away from the fact that whether it’s a phantom tripping call or Beasley falling over a yard short of the 1st down marker on 3rd down and still getting credit for the 1st down they are all horrendous potentially game changing calls.PI is different. Those are always sketchy to call. No one ever calls tripping penalties and they both were wrong. It makes no sense.
It’s odd that these guys clearly watch football and can’t understand that.Perhaps. There's no denying they took away two scoring opportunities (including our last one). In a game as tight as that one was, those lost opportunities were huge.
You’ve been on a cold streakThe apology is good enough for me.
The wrong has been righted.
