lol, wow this would be a mother of a signing. maybe they're tired of waiting for capers decision? maybe it was nothing more then a talk? jerry does have alot of connections. but i do know williams feels betrayed by snyder, what bigger kick to the balls would it be to sign with the cowboys? lol

i'd love this signing. wade's type of 3-4 is a attacking style, williams is a blitzing fool. and has studied the 3-4 aswell. jerry is the man if this is more then just a casual chat.

Well, that hire would certainly set off the Redskirt fans.

ES would melt down all over again.

WILLIAMS TO COWBOYS?
Posted by Mike Florio on February 3, 2008, 11:43 a.m.
Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that the Cowboys could be hiring former Commanders defensive coordinator to run the defense.

Per Schefter, discussions already have occurred, and will continue on Monday.

Since the Cowboys already have a defensive coordinator, Williams would likely have a position similar to his title in Washington, where he served as assistant head coach-defense.

The other curiosity about Williams’ candidacy is that the Cowboys currently run a 3-4 defense. Williams used a 4-3 approach in D.C.

Williams, who was interviewed more times than Chad Johnson on radio row for the head-coaching job in Washington, was ultimately fired. Williams has interviewed with the Jaguars for the defensive coordinator vacancy created by the departure of Mike Smith, the new head coach in Atlanta.

not a fan of this Williams runs a defense very different from what we have the players for and are trying to run

I don't get this one.

i don't get why the other active topic wasn't good enough to post in and we needed another thread on this.

I did not see the other one so I posted my response in both. Figure they will get merged soon.

Does he have a 3-4 experience?

I don't get this!

Me either, unless he has the secret to getting Roy Williams back to being a real threat.

Does Williams know Phillips from Buffalo?, I'm wondering.
