If Ware stay lets hope its reduced to the 5-6 range and not the 9-10 range.
or the 2 range.

You and I are in agreement way too much the last couple of days...
I think it's going to be between those two areas.
I'm guessing 7 mil this year... Saving a little over $5 mil against the cap this year.
6 mil next year... Saving a little over $7 mil against the cap next year.
I for one- think you're a great poster.I'll tell you what: I'm probably more in agreement with negative stuff that most posters would realize.
I tend to engage on what I think are bad criticisms, but there are a ton of legitimate ones I just never reply to because I either agree and don't like to dump on the team, or disagree but think are really fair criticisms.
At 8-8, it's not all rosey, and it's not all disaster. It's a mixed bag, like anything.
I would throw a party and get sloppy drunk over a deal like that... Strange women would be kissed and men will be jealous.
Who am I kidding?
I'm drinking anyways!
Cheers y'all! Where's the strange women?
better strange woman than strange men.
maybe, i dont know, lets try another persons point of view. Maybe the so called you people you need to label are tired of watching Ware run past the QB instead of AT the qb. Just for giggles, and im not saying im no fan of Wares, I was before he was drafted, but again, im just throwing it out there, lets say , (since we all have medical degrees) he isnt fully healthy and has to play another year hurt, is that worth paying for? Is his tally for last years sacks and if hes still hurt, his tally for sacks this year, worth paying for?
Let me toss this train of thought at you. We arent making the playoffs, i stood by that sentiment last year, and im still with it this year, so why keep Ware, when it we can get a younger guy in his position, get him some experience in a season going no where, and when this team is willing or capable of performing at the next level, hopefully the young guy is ready to go. Is that an option, or am i just a maddenholic? Thinking, one day its going to come back.
Did you know we were missing the playoffs by one drive and after blowing winnable games against DET, GB and DEN before or after losing Spencer, Ratliff, Crawford, Bass, Ware, Lee, Romo, Durant and others? If you don't think this team can get healthy, sign a couple FAs and draft well and not improve on last season, I don't what to tell you.
I understand the need of a salary cap....but when you have to possibly cut a guy that has given his all to a team for so many years...
I just hate to see players that spend their entire careers with one team have to eventually leave.

I get your side also.did anyone cry when he got teh job? did anyone care once they saw this beast of a player makng plays for us. Boo hoo, part of the system and deal the players make. Glory when you can snatch it, than deal with the fallout.
I get your side also.
The side of results matter- tears don't, but to say that emotions don't get involved, by both fans and management is naive.
Good management pushes through it.
Fans don't have to and sometimes suffer for it.
Even if they know the practical side.
I respect where you're coming from though...
and i yours and everyone else, but to sit here and cry for a guy who has a chance to be set for life. I cant do it. I have nothing against him, but he knew the deal, you get to play if you are the best, hes not the best right now. He had a great career, he used his chance and given skills. I was proud he was a Cowboy, i feel he wore the star with pride on and off the field. What more can you ask for? Again. these players when signing or wanting or demanding contracts say , its bizness, well yes, but dont cry on the other side either.
I notice you didnt throw in Garrett, and Kiffen. I banked on this team missing the playoffs not so much due to the injuries, and other teams dont have injuries, so i think that was unique for Dallas OH WAIT, so lets not use that. Lets talk about Garrett just watching this team crumble before his eyes, right on the field and allows it. I did bank on that. NOw if you want to get to specific games, i did see us losing to Denver, kudos to Romo on that game, i did pick Detriot to beat us and I had no problem with KC beating us, not due to the fact that they were a better team BUT to the fact Reid will run over to the other side of the field, slap Garrett, steal his lunch money and pants him. Kudos to me.
Sign FA,s go ahead, sign them all, unless the players stop listening to Garrett, they cant win. Sign on the whole NFL, Your leader doesnt know what hes doing. Remember, this is a process, not a definite philosphy. The guy is like hey, we are winning with the run, but lets see if we can outsmart them by throwing on 3 and 2nd. Oh wait, didnt work, okay, thats the process.
You want to talk teh core of our team, okay, lets go, Witten should NOT be a starter now, use him for the plays you know hes good at or can make the difference on the field. Durant, Holloman, Carter, Lee, Bass, Ratliff is gone and Spencer is useless. OKay for the rest, get Lee through a full season, than we'll talk. Carter, seriously? after last year, hes way behind the 8 ball. The others? Who, unless tehy can do it on the field, i dont know them anymore. Im not going to sit here and try to fix every player, draft guys, let these guys know they are the starters, because you have this season to waste, might as well learn from it. Orton, why waste him again? Dallas choose to not play him and give him time on the field, than when they need him, expect him to be rust free. give me a break.
Fredrick was awesome and loved, loved that pic. Great, but now we need to go defense and waste another year of Tyron, and Fred because now the defense has to learn how to be a defense again, okay so even if we get back to the offense the next draft, we lost one year and either still have line that will need some more, or bring in new guys who , if we keep Bill Callahan might get them to gel in time, or if we get a new Oline coach, guess what? Another season down the drain.
Im not happy to wish ill on my team, but i wotn stand here and put cherries on a dirt sundae, its not in me. Last season was a comeplete waste because this team thought tehy could play for something that they had no business doing. Instead of getting the team ready for the next season, guys were wasted, spots were wasted on and the one thing that worked all season (the ST) doesnt know what to do for next season because all his work mgiht be wasted yet again, WISH he totally found a team to work for that would appreaciate and use his efforts.
I don't know you at all, but my impression is that you get great joy from wishing ill for this team and like to perceived as being right more than you like Dallas actually succeeding. And you completely missed the point I was trying to make. You still think they can't make the playoffs next year even though they had a historically bad defense and still should have made it. If last year's team could go 8-8, I see no reason that this year's team can't do a lot better. But that's just me and i could be very wrong about your ideas.

ShiningStar is a good fan. to be sure.
He gets passionate about certain things and certain points can get misconstrued.
Don't doubt him though.
He wants our Boys to succeed just as much as you.
I vouch, friend.
